Amy Awning and Signs

The awning is great but after service is not good. One arm of our awning is not closing properly and I advised ken of this the same week that the awning was installed. He said he'd be out to take a look at it and this is at least 4 months later and nobody has even contacted us. After reading other reviews I see this is typical for this company. I would not recommend them to anyone because after sales service is very important

2 phone calls. No response. 2 emails no response. Finally got a response. Owner said to give him measurements and he would email an estimate right away. Still waiting 3 weeks later. Guess they don't need my business!

We contacted ken to measure our gazebo for a new cover,ken came took the measurements and deliveredThe cover on December 22/2021.due to the wintery weather he could not try the fit.when the spring of 2022 came I went to fit it and it did not fit,I called ken and he came over tried to fit it and agreed it did not fit.ken took new measurements and promised to fix the issue,we have had to chase him to get our cover.we have grown tired of his saying I will deliver it today,he never shows up nor returns phone calls and has multiple excuses as to why a no show or product,since it's been a year we want our money back,and if necessary will file a complaint with consumers Ontario.

They do not even deserve 1 star. Made an appt for an estimate and they did not show up. No call either. I had impression during phone call that he was not that interested so I should not be surprised. In this instance I should have paid more attention to reviews as this is a common complaint for this business.

Went in search of a zipper pull for a Jeep soft top. Ken didn't have one but was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction, he even called a location for me to see if they had one in stock. I did stop by another location previous to Ken,'s and was told they are in the phone book, call to make an appt. Yeah not likely. Thanks Ken.

We bought an awning Amy Awnings 11 years ago and the sale and installation process was great. This year, the awning came loose from our house and I called them to reattach it to our house. The person I spoke with (I assume the owner) committed to coming out 10 days later after a couple of calls and the day they were supposed to show no one came even after speaking to him that morning and being told someone would be out. He didn't call back or communicate what was happening in any way. Ultimately, MacDonald Awnings came out 10 days later and fixed it.It's unfortunate that this company's service has gotten so bad. I'd recommend MacDonald Awnings to anyone. Their communication and service was top notch.

We kept an appointment with Ken Amy in June. He took measurements and promised to forward a quote. Unfortunately, that's the end of story. No followup for another month or two. Finlay, we called in August. He said he will forward a quote via email on August 07.2020. Two weeks have passed, still waiting. This reflects their service.

Ken Amy installed two awnings at my home and I was very pleased with the results. When we lost an awning valance - it was stored for the winter and was lost by spring - Ken came out, measured the existing awning again and gave me a very modest replacement cost. The time he spent onsite was time he could've easily have spent elsewhere, quoting a more lucrative project. Very pleased with Amy Awnings service and workmanship!.

As another customer said, they don’t deserve a 1 rating.Had new awning installed 10ths ago, but the stitching started to undo. Ken said this was not correct during a May 2021 visit. Sent him the original quote and Ken said would get back with price to repair. After multiple emails and phone calls, 2021 soon became 2022. Finally in March 2022 they removed the awning for repair. It is now September 2022 and still no awning. Anything Ken says via email, phone or to your face is a straight out lie. If, I get my awning back it will be the last time Amy Awning sets foot on my property.Please take your business elsewhere.

We contacted Amy Awnings and Signs to have our roll out canopy fabric replaced as it had been originally installed by them 20 years ago. We contacted Ken and he setup an appointment right away. After a little problem was resolved regarding our address he attended, took measurements and left a fabric sample book with us. We chose our fabric and contacted Ken again in the morning and our order was confirmed. Less than one week later our new canopy was installed, we are very happy with the quality and look. Ken even threw in some extra fabric to make matching cushions. Thanks to Amy Awnings and Signs for your excellent service.
