We took the prenatal course with Lenore and found it very informative and really enjoyed the experience. We also worked with Jen Woods as our doula. We ended up having a planned c section and Jen was very friendly, professional, supportive and helpful along all stages - during pregnancy, in the hospital after delivery, and afterwards for some at home help and support. It was very comforting knowing I could reach out to Jen to help with any questions or concerns along the way, she made the whole experience much more positive and less overwhelming/scary. Highly recommend Jen and Mother Matters.

My husband and I learned a great deal from Lenore's online course (3 virtual sessions) and both feel much more prepared for the birthing experience and beyond! The course is informative and she is very knowledgable, patient and kind.We opted to purchase the handbook and used it throughout as it contains the information discussed, as well as additional tips and tricks, too. While learning online, there are opportunities to ask questions along the way and afterwards, Lenore is quick to respond to email. The resources that were provided will be wonderful to reference as we welcome our little one. Each week, there is also a recap email sent out with links and attachments included. Our midwife was impressed with our completion of the labour preference form and we will also be working to complete the post-partum planning sheet provided. We will certainly be recommending Mother Matters" services to our friends and family in the future!"

My husband and I just took the crash course with Lenore and absolutely loved our experience. We're healthcare workers and still found it very informative. We feel very prepared for our upcoming birth, postpartum recovery and first few weeks with our newborn. Lenore spoke about breastfeeding as well which was lovely. You leave the course feeling strong, empowered and supported by your partner to have your baby. 100% recommend! Thanks again Mother Matters & Lenore ❤️

We had the pleasure of having Jennifer as our Doula and Lenore as our teacher for the Prenatal Course.Lenore was an amazing and engaging instructor and was very passionate about sharing her knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed taking the weekend course and learnt so much. Highly recommend!I could not have imagined going through the journey of pregnancy, labour and postpartum without Jen. At first we were on the fence about getting a doula and I am so glad we did. First off, Jen as a person is very lovely and professional. I was in labour for several hours leading up to delivery and she was always available to answer our calls and consistently check in on us. She was a star during the labour and delivery process and I have so much respect for her and how she was able to support us. She was there with me all evening, stayed up all night until the morning delivery, and knew exactly what I needed before I needed it. We are so grateful to have had her by our side through the birth of our first child. Thank you so much Jennifer!!

We can't recommend the prenatal course with Lenore enough! Lenore is amazing - she's very knowledgeable and thorough, and creates a warm, non-judgmental space for everyone to discuss and ask questions. We left the class feeling as prepared as possible for our birth and little one and couldn't be more grateful we took this course.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Lenore Kilmartin is one of the warmest and most generous people I've ever met, we would recommend her prenatal classes a thousand times over.We took her prenatal class one month before having our baby and we learned an immense amount from the lessons. Lenore was extremely generous in sharing her time and information with us even outside of the classes, and we gained tremendous confidence in our birthing decisions thanks to her.We also rented our birthing tub from Mother Matters, and Lenore's expertise in home birthing and water births was a Godsend for us as she made us aware of things we had no clue about.I should mention we drove from downtown Toronto to Burlington to take these classes and it was so worth it!

Having your first kid is a whirlwind (as we all know) but anything a new parent can do to decrease their uncertainty is truly a blessing. My wife Laura and I booked Lenore's in-home pre-natal classes where she came to our hours, plugged into the TV and got going on helping us prepare for what was coming. Laura and I had heard such daunting and scary birthing stories that it really helped to have someone in our corner to help us figure out what advocating for ourselves looking like in a system that was surprisingly complicated! She cleared the fog on lots of issues and empowered us to start our parenting journeys! There is nothing casual about becoming a parent... It's a big deal. I encourage any new parent to take the time and get ready for what's coming... Lenore might not be able to help you at 2am when you're baby is crying and needing a big burp but she can take the 'sting' out of soooo many new things you don't even know you're going to encounter. Becoming a parent is the greatest thing you'll ever do and Lenore is the best partner my wife and I could have asked for as we started this journey!ps- Lenore really likes ginger ale... and when you discover how sweet Lenore is, you'll want to make sure you have a little treat ready for her!

We were extremely lucky and grateful to have Jennifer as our doula for the birth of our daughter, and Lenore as our private instructor for prenatal and parenting course.Jennifer is extremely personable and compassionate, and made this journey really easy for us to navigate through. She helped us adapt really well to the unexpected challenges we faced along the way. She has been extremely supportive and understood our needs even before we did. Definitely the best decision we made!Lenore is extremely kind, loving, and knowledgeable. We felt so comfortable with her within just minutes of meeting her, and genuinely felt like we've known her forever. Her course gave us so much confidence, we definitely highly recommend it!We were also introduced to Abi, who was our backup doula. Abi helped me with reflexology and shared stories of different experiences to get me motivated and comfortable.Overall, Mother Matters has a wonderful team and we would highly recommend their services.

My husband and I participated in a recent crashcourse with Mother Matters. We went into it knowing very little about what to expect as we become new parents. We learned so much helpful information about things leading up to the birth, the details of labour, and 4th trimester. I cannot recommend this course enough! Lenore is so passionate about this content and it is clear that educating and supporting parents through this process is what she is meant to do. We both feel so much more prepared to take on this transition to parenthood. I can't recommend Mother Matters enough!!
