Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
Continue my foods exploration in the neighbourhood with this Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle. This noodle shop is a familiar name to me as I have been to their main shop in Taipei as I have been a frequent traveller to Taipei for many years and I have tried their top 10 beef noodle shops. Chef Hung is one of the top.I ordered a beef noodle and xiao long bao. It did take long time to wait for the noodle. They made the noodle and that's why their noodle has very good texture. The beef soup is the key component of the beef noodle. The soup does not have MSG and taste authentic like the one I had in Taipei. The beef and stomach were easy to bite. The portion is large but I could finish it easily in 15min.Xiao Long Bao was good and the pork was juicy inside the dumpling. It could be better if the skin can be thinner.For the environment and service, it was satisfactory and the server kept serving tea. There was sufficient distancing between the tables. If it is not so crowded, I would recommend the window seats.They have plenty of choices in the menu. I will go again and try some more famous Taiwanese dishes.

Rich soup, delicious noodles, and meat with just the right amount of fat. Convenient ordering, unique menu items and drinks. I come here at least once a month, and I definitely recommend this place.

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
This chain is so awesome! I lived in Taiwan and this is the perfect beef noodle. Noodles are perfect and fresh, beef is perfectly cooked and I love how they have a choice of various broths.If you haven’t had beef noodle, you need to go here!

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
We arrived just before noon and were greeted immediately as we walked in. We took advantage of the lunch combo’s A: braised beef shank with noodle in soup, braised pork on rice and marinate egg with “fire chili soup” and B: preserved radish & shredded pork with noodles in clear beef soup and golden kimchi. The noodles and the soup were excellent, very tasty sides, plus a beverage and a great price $16.45. Very attentive staff and clean restaurant. Totally recommend Chef Hung Kerrisdale.

Great service and food was pretty good. I thought price wasn't too bad eg milk tea was $4.95 but enough to serve 2, possibly 3 people. Noodle had a nice chewiness to it. Would come here again.

Have to update my review after going back to Chef Hung’s recently. Got the clear broth noodle soup, which I think is my fault but it had absolutely no flavour. Tasted like noodles and water. The prices continue to be quite high for what you get.They have some lunch combo deals, but they don’t include that menu sheet when you first sit down, it’s posted up by the cashier.Overall, was quite disappointed with the noodle this time around.Original review:Award winning beef noodle soup from Taiwan. I was very pleased with the flavour. I was hesitant before thinking it’ll just have a lot of MSG in it, but to my surprise the soup base was very flavourful and not salty or have a lot of MSG in it.I would prefer to have more meat in the noodle, and I prefer the thinner noodle as well. Overall it’s a taste bowl of noodle soup, and not bad value either. Their snacks and specialty dishes on the other hand was on the pricey side.The decor inside was nice, and consistent throughout their locations. Service was solid as well.I’ll definitely go back and try their other soup noodles.

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
Rich deep flavour good tasting broth for the tomato and beef shank noodle soup. I do agree at their price range is on the high side when compared to other similar establishments. The quantity of food is decent for the soup noodles. The chicken nuggets is on the smaller portion side and not much to complain with the taste. Maybe it can use a little more salt and pepper.The beef wraps are very well priced and tasty. Beware that it can fall apart quite easily.

Came for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Not very busy but the staff were on lunch break so the service was understandably a little slow. Also took a few attempts to get their attention for the bill even though it wasn't busy. The benches faux leather was cracked and a little uncomfortable to sit on.Deep fried chicken nuggets: Crispy and well flavoured. If you've ever had Chinese chicken nuggets, you know these are so much better because they're salty and peppery.Steamed pork soup dumplings: Only average as 2/5 came broken so the soup had spilled out. :( Flavour was good with a kick of ginger. The wrappers were the right thickness.Both beef noodle soups were great! The broth was just the right amount of salt and had a good beefy flavour. The beef shank was okay but could be a little more tender. Fatty beef slices were basically beef bacon - so tender and delicious.

Wow the worse Taiwanese noodles I ever had. Very disappointed and extremely expensive for the portion and quality you get. The soap isn't even beefy.Better go to Wang's Noodle House on Granville. They are way worth it and close by.

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
Quite good noodle soup place. Fried chicken pieces were very tasty but could have a larger portion size. Tasty beef brisket noodle soups, but again, portion size of beef brisket could be increased for the price.
