I really really wanted to like this place and the final verdict is that it's just ok. The fries were soggy and the fish was average. Nothing to knock the door down for and I would have again in the future, but not right away.

I only have one complaint. It needs more flavor. And chips cooks just a few mins more. I would for sure go here again. I enjoyed it. Took my son's GF. Her first time ever eating fish. She really liked it. She got ro like fish if she's going to date newfie haha

We ate here for the first time on Sunday (Father's Day). Really disappointed in the food. Both the fries and fish was burnt (Looked like it was re deep fried which burnt it) and really had no taste. Would not go back. Think I'll stick to another place for fish and chips. Not as great as a lot of people rave about.

Food was mediocre, dirty establishment.Fish was crunchy and not overly oily. Which was good. No flavour on anything.Floors were filthy, boots randomly left at the front counter.Not great. Not terrible.

It has been good until last Thursday night, 1 pc of fish was all batter, the fries were soggy and soaked in grease. The 3.99 coleslaw tasted off, It was awful. This is the bag the grease leaked out of the container all over the seat in my car.

We were on our way home on a cold afternoon and stopped by to try the Cod Fish 'n Chips for takeout. The batter was light, non greasy and the fries were crispy .. just the way we like them. Great tarter sauce and the coleslaw was light and not too sweet. Perfect. We also couldn't resist the frozen selection of Newfoundland seafood for sale, leaving with some reasonably priced frozen cod and HUGE shrimp. We will definitely be back. Friendly and hometown service. Welcome to Stony Plain.

We stopped in here because we’ve heard good things from friends about this place and they did not disappoint!We were out shopping and wanted a snack before going into the grocery store hungry, and we shared the scallops. Their seafood sauce was so delicious!! The scallops were a bit on the greasy side for me but I would still order them again. They were deep fried in batter and they were nice and crispy.The decor was nice, and it was clean.

I love to come to Codfadders, great homemade fries and tartar sauce. Fish always hit the spot.We attended the Rib Fest this weekend and had enjoyed the food truck experience last year. This year was terrible. Bagged frozen fries, Kraft tartar sauce...Prices seemed fair but was expecting the same food served in the restaurant... disappointing when it's the opposite.

This is the 3rd time we gave this place a chance an again ending in disappointment. Fish was all right, wife’s was overcooked. fries were absolutely disgusting. Soggy an over cooked. The bag was soaked in grease. Cant say I would recommend this place.

I’ve been here 3 times and each time have pre-order my food, arrived the time I was told to pickup and then waited over hour to actually receive my order. This time I ordered early and arrived 15mins after was told it would be ready. Was told when I arrived it would be ready in a minute, i then wait 45mins for my ordered. Everyone in the shop had also been waiting a long time for their food and the employees just argued about what they were suppose to make so I ended up having to leave without any dinner. Unfortunately their fish is good but their ability to manage orders and times is horrendous! Never again.
