Hoops Sports Bar & Grill Vaughan

The first time we came here was during their grand opening week. Service was terrible along with their food. Fast forward to today, it only had a dozen people and all were sitting at the bar. The floor was dirty and so were the plates and cutlery. We ordered a spin dip (stale chips & ingredients, barely warm) Cajun calamari (thick batter & didn’t come with sauce), and steak fajitas (Soggy) We would’ve sent everything back, but we chose to be polite and only send the worst one which was the spin dip. Our server Shamon was apologetic and kindly took it off our bill. The only good thing about the meal was the $4 pints. However their beer selection on tap is limited. I would not recommend coming here to watch a game because all the TVs have a delay and you can only watch the one game they choose to have on.

I have been a regular guest at hoops downtown but moved to Vaughan so tried the new location. I have been an bar owner from past 7 years so all this view is coming out of experience. This location(major mac) have proved to be the worst bar experience of my life so far. My bartender was doing some illegal stuff in the washroom. If any guest read this and been to the location then they know what i am talking about. Saw her going to the washroom with 2 guys and at the moment didn't know what was she up to. Later she comes out and told a regular patron that she was having a moment with those men. I asked her for a pint of beer and got it in 16oz glass(not 20). I confronted her about the glass size and in return she started explaining me that that size is an actual pint. Got ribs and fries and oh my lord it was atrocious. Barely any sauce on the ribs(but they were tender and that was the only good part about the experience), fries were so tiny which made me feel like they were bottom of the bag. This regular patron that I mentioned earlier got free shots from the bartender as I am just use to lookout due to my habit as an owner.To sum up my review major mac hoops got bartenders doing illegal stuff in the washroom, under pouring beer, giving free liquor to regular guests, disgusting food. Wasn't expecting such an experience after enjoying their downtown location.

Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Thursday half price wings does not apply to this place. Ordered 2lbs but was charged full price even though it was half price wings night and was told only applies to 1lb orders after the bill came. Apparently this was this location's policy. Why would you not tell your customers it does not apply to 2lb orders. Plus what is the difference if someone ordered 2 separate orders of 1 lbs wings. Plus the TVs has a 3 second delay vs the large screen, poor viewing experience since the audio is ahead. Apparently it has been addressed to management however it has fallen on deaf ears. It's possible management is a Devry or york U grad.

Good to have a new bar close to home. Great spot for sports w/screens all over. Recommended!

I was the only customer in the pub at around 4pm. Big pub but whole empty.They food quality is below average. I ordered mozzarella sticks and beer. The sticks were only warm inside, still felt cold when I bit, and not cheap though. The beer has a good price at $4.The girl was very nice. But I really wonder how long can they survive?

Decent sports bar, regular selection of beers, bar menu. Friendly and knowledgable staff.

It's a cute place, and has TVs in the booth which we thought was pretty cool. The food was great, service was great. Giving 3 stars because the floor of the booth we were in was dirty and we found hair in our food...twice! But they were nice enough to give us a new plate and the manager took it off our bill and promised to take care of that situation. Besides that, it's a nice place to go to. The wings are huge!!

This bar is going down hill fast. Went to watch the Leaf game and the manager did not want to put it on the big screen because the NFL playoffs was on every TV in the bar. When I asked her switch it after the NFL game was finished she said NO because it was to hard to change the channel. Only 8 people there on Saturday night with Leafs ,Raptors and NFL playoffs which tells you something. I decided to walk out and go to another bar (Chuck's Roadhouse) which was packed because they were showing all three games and great atmosphere. The owner should really look into this location soon or it will be out of business soon. I guess the managers don't know the meaning of the customer is right and should make them happy since they keep them in business. I left a message to have the owner call me and still waiting for his call for weeks. I don't think the manager passed on the message because she was reluctant to call him when I went there to complain and made excuses why she couldn't call.

Great service, funny and warm wait staff, good cold beer ($4 pints of Mill St and $4 shots!), never had a complaint about the food, even the bar patrons are friendly. You can always ask to have a specific game on, but they're probably already playing it. Its just a cozy place even with all of the TV screens everywhere.

Loved hoops back when I was in university and I am so glad they finally opened one in Vaughan. Definitely come here for the wings they are amazing, delicious and they give you big portions! The place is brand new and looks very clean with tons of tv's for game night. Tuesdays and Thursdays are amazing because of half off wings too! Come see for yourself and have an amazing eat! This is going to be my bar and wings place as long as I am in Vaughan!
