Circus Play Cafe
First time taking my 1 year old there with my husband. We came on the weekend and it was packed! It was literally like 100 people cramped in a small space. But at the same time we understood why. There’s wooden play slide and set along with small developmental toys for different age of kids. We find it better for toddlers. There’s also a quiet room for reading and lying down. The only reason I gave a 4 star was that I found a piece of plastic in their chocolate zucchini cake! I was just glad it wasn’t given to kids. But the cake was still delicious after all.

Prices are pretty high to have kids play. The environment to me needs more maintenance, like seeing the floors that look run down. I did mention to the staff about the sink not being able to drain properly as the response was that they said, its has been a problem for while from people putting paper towel in the drain. The toys and around the environment just needs a fresh coat of paint. I'm sure it was a lot better 7 years ago but being a first time customer it needs a new look. I do love the door entry of putting shoes away right at the entrance looks great. Sanitation is good did see staff cleaning the tables and with the hour that we were there did not see any cleaning done with the toys in the play area.

My daughter at so much fun playing in this cafe. Its clean and well lit. Has enough parking spot. At the time I went I couldn’t leave my daughter unattended so couldn’t enjoy a drink or snack. Would be a good idea to facilitate this option for those who can’t leave the kids in the play area side and come to coffee shop themselves

There aren't enough cafes like this in Vancouver. My toddler loves the climbing structures and I love that I can watch him comfortably while refuelling on caffeine. I think admission prices are comparable to other play cafes in the lower mainland but I docked a star because they don't allow you to bring your own food. I understand it's tricky with allergies and it's how they make money, but it adds up fast.

This site is wonderful. basically a cafe and a play area inside! From 0 to 5, there is something for everyone! The only problem is that I wish the room was bigger; in our wet city, we need more of these! Great venue to meet up with friends given the upcoming cloudy and chilly days!

A fun place to take your kids. The food is decent but the main attraction are the teas and of course a place for your kids to play. They have two hour windows at which point you need to pay for your kids again. They have an automated checkin but it is down sometimes so you might need to go to the counter. They have limited parking and the surrounding area can get tight as well. They are on transit routes and there is not a lot of bike areas. The bathrooms are clean and they have a party room as well. Most of the toys are in good repair but some of their wooden play areas have damage to posts. Overall a good play area.

My pictures are all of the new space they're in, on Hastings Street. Anything older than my review would be of their old space.

Good things: Staff were nice, friendly and approachable. This place is very pretty like Instagram pretty. It's a kids cafe and there are lots of high chairs available. It cost $14 for a 2 hour playtime for my 16 month old daughter. Didn't see anything about needing socks on their website so I had to pay for socks. Way too expensive imo, play place is very small and most of the play equipment are made of wood, which is not great for pre-walkers and early walkers (not a great place to fall). Also, mats are very slippery, socks are counter productive unless you have grip socks. I did see staff cleaning the equipment in my 1.5hours there so hygiene standards are good. Restrooms are clean, there are 2 there, only one has a changing table.Food wise, the sandwich we got was just regular cheese sandwich. Nothing amazing. Coffee was good. All in all, a really expensive price point for a small play area. Won't be going back.
