Jungle Jim's in GFW is located in the middle section of the Exploits Valley Mall between Walmart and Sports Experts. Because of its location, it is normally busy there at meal time, but the fast & efficient staff keep our wait time to the bare minimum. We enjoyed this restaurant.

First time at Jungle Jim's and I must say...our waitress made the experience great. We both had the fish and chips....absolutely delicious. Batter was crispy and light, fish was flakey and tasty. Coleslaw was really good as well. The gravy was a little salty for our taste.....but still good. The dining room was pretty busy when we were there....and apparently kitchen was a bit behind. Our waitress apologized for the wait, but honestly we didn't wait as long as some did for their food. The white sangria was the best I've had.....and went great with the fish. Would definitely come back

The food was ok. The service was slow. 40 minutes to recieve food once ordered. The staff were friendly enough. The food was expensive for the quality of food. For those from other parts of the country there are scrunchions which comes along with the pan fried cod. They are salt pork pieces fried and rendered down as shown on the photo. It looks like a bowl of fat and grease which is used to put on your cod fillet for flavour. It was served on the side so the amount poured on could be controlled. Other than the wait and the expense the experience was good. $130+ for meals for 3 adults.

Everytime I come to Newfoundland I always look for a place to eat fresh cod... unfortunately most places are deep fried. I enjoyed the pan fried cod meal. Presentation could be improved. Love the decor of the place. The service is inconsistent. For example I was surprised how fast my food came but no drink refill and on my previous visit it took me a long time to ask for my bill. However the staff is friendly.

Waited a little bit for someone to come over and seat us. They weren't terribly busy but one staff was running around helping and the others appeared to be on break, waited almost 5 mins to be acknowledged and seatedWe almost left. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars We ordered The kitchen sink appetizer to share instead of getting a meal. Everything was good. The fries are great. Can't wait to come back and try something else.
