Avonmore Veterinary Clinic

Have been dealing with this clinic for a few years and have always had the best and compassionate service: My 19 year old dog just the other day had to be euthanized and from the initial receptionist call to the vet there was nothing but sincere compassion shown.

The receptionist has zero communication skills and about zero respect for anyone’s situation. That is enough to turn me away. I hope everyone does the same and let those vets find a more friendly member to add to the team as she is very clearly throwing away a lot of clients.

I’ve brought my entire crew to this vet and they have always been stellar! Spayed both my cats and my dog and all procedures went smoothly! They always inform me of what’s going to be done, and are very thorough with the aftercare. Prices are very reasonable and the customer service has always been great! Even squeezed in our cat for an emergency on one of their very busy days. Great service all around!

If I could give this clinic a zero rating I would. The doctor seems knowledgeable and compassionate but the receptionist definitely lacks communication and interpersonal skills. *** Attention! Front desk people are the face of your business and if you can't effectively deal with people in time of need it's time to rethink your career choice.

Wonderful Vets. They have so much information to share and definitely care for my boy when he is there. :) Reasonably prices and defiantly want the best for your pet :) I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the lady at the desk. And, the fact that they do not have interact or CC capacity. Other than that, very friendly Dr and knowledgeable. Quick appointments also.

They are great for accommodating (some) already existing clients. There are definitely things they could improve on, like having patience with people and their pets. I feel overwhelmed when I have to go in with my pets as they are pushy and expect you to know how they operate. The secretary and vet assistant need a bit of an attitude adjustment and they need to stop demanding that people put their pets up on the table or hold them down, if it's not physically logical... Tried to hold my dog down for them and it was a disaster, I clearly needed help. They used to only accepted cash, up until recently getting an e-transfer option for payment, this was long over due. The odd time I did not bring enough cash, I told the secretary I'd be right back with payment as I had to run to the nearby store. Uponreturning, the secretary got short with me because I did not call before coming back to the clinic. A. she did not say to call upon returning, and B. I made it very clear I was just going to get cash, to pay them (considering they did not accomodate for their clients). I do appreciate what they try to accomplish for their practice, but I feel like they're too comfortable with being short and kinda rude with people. I do feel like they could just try to be a little nicer, to everyone; not just specific clients...

Any vet that would EUTHANIZE a 1 year old PUPPY before attempting any alternate course of action because he is hyper and nips should do the world a favour and RETIRE!!!! There were so many other courses of action that you could have advised but instead you ended a life! SHAME on you!

If you need x-rays or anything you need to go to cornwall I had 2 dogs die because of what he guessed they had

Several times the one that answering the phone hangs up the phone. My bill is paid in full. Your nasty. Vets are are amazing.
