Purchased a custom frame for my painting on March 26. I was told it would be 2 weeks or less. So we were happy.Then 2 weeks later we got a call saying another week. So we agreed.Well that week passed , I called in and was told that it will be another week as they are working on orders placed April 9, ummmmm I placed my order March 26. She didn’t know what to say. She then said it will be done tomorrow. Which would have been April 23. I called April 24 and was told they don’t know when it will be done.I called again today to see the status and was told they don’t know as they have a shipment coming in tomorrow. I went to the store tonight to get my painting back and a full refund. I was not asked anything , I was not apologized to. Just here is your paining and your refund.What kind of customer service is this ?

You can find many craft supplies and cooking tools there. It is a beautiful store to shop from, but price-wise, it is expensive. They have many promos and discount events on, but they are not applying on the most wanted products. There are certain companies that are always excluded from the promos. Some sections do not get updated with newer materials and always carry the same things. Embroidery floss, for instance. There are the same products there since almost two years ago. There are a certain number of flosses, for instance, #4, which never gets stocked. There is only one option for free hand embroidering. There are not enough kinds of needles, embroidery fabrics( at least a couple of samples ) are not available, and any books, how to's or instruction manuals can not be found. It's not a good place for purchasing pens and pencils ( except for cople of coloured pencils brand). It's not a good place for purchasing interesting craft kits for kids. Vinyls and materials you need for Silhouette or similar cutting machine, you can find there, though.

Good if you have a coupon or catch a sale. Otherwise very expensive. Clean though and usually well stocked

I love the variety Michael’s offers. As an artist, I can get most of my supplies in one place. I wish they had more staff available, especially at the check out counter. And I hope one day they sell the materials to build your own canvases. But overall, a great store, clean, and well organized.

What a joke. I am never going to Michael's again. Their prices are a complete rip off. There was not a single worker on the sales floor to help me find what I was looking for, I waited in their full line up while only one cashier was working. When I finally got to the cash register to ask for help I was given no help, and was treated like I was such an inconvenience to her for simply asking for help. The cashier didn't even try to help me find what I was looking for and I had their website pulled up to the exact item I needed. I'm disgusted with this company, store and staff, at least the one person that was actually there that day. I will never shop at Michael's again. Even 1 star is more than they deserve.

Great craft store. Also offers many craft related services. Has a framing section and the staff are knowledgeable about all the different crafts and materials so it's nice to shop here.

Well organized with very good sales. Bigger stores often present problems trying to get help and advice but this one is very good.

PROS: Hours are great, and the customer service has improved a lot since my last visit. I used to shop here more frequently, but their location can be a little tough.CONS: The selection and offerings have really changed. Went there today to pick up some art paints, and brushes. The selection of art brushes is very, very sparse. Dollarama carries more brushes than Michael's now. Also, no more balsa strips or dowels to speak of, which is a staple for my hobbies.
