Ricky's Spuds

Fantastic poutine from this little chip stand. The fries were crisp, fluffy, and tasted amazing — Ricky definitely uses high-quality frying oil. The sauce was thick and layered on well, and had a great, deep flavour. Cheese curds were authentic. Overall the portion size was generous, I ordered a large and it was perfect to share.We will definitely be returning to Ricky’s spuds the next chance we get.

I was there from Ottawa with my daughter, and was looking for a place to eat. My daughter and I saw that little place, so we decided to try it out. Awesome poutine, and hot dogs. Highly recommended.

Small menus but very high quality items. Excellent fries and cheesy poutine. If you ask for salt and vinegar half way down, he even lets you put it on yourself!

If you want nice crispy fries that don't taste greasey, this is the truck to go to in the Valley. Very friendly courteous service along with the tastey food. The sausage on a bun was yummy too.

We were heading back home to Philadelphia after a 3 day trip through the area, and had to try Poutine on our way out. Ricky's Spuds seemed to be highly rated, and many mentioned the Poutine. Hands down, it was amazing. I have nothing to compare the taste to, but a big plus for me was that no matter how far down we ate through this giant cup of Poutine, the ratio of fries, gravy and cheese curd stayed the same. It wasn't just a bucket of fries, with the ingredients on top, leaving us stuck with a bunch of dry fries at the end, like we find with anyplace by us that serves cheese fries, or something similar. I can't say for sure if Ricky's has the best Poutine in the area, but if you told me otherwise, you would be on the other end of a very skeptic look.

Fantastic! Poutine was great, Crispy fries delicious gravy fast and friendly service everything an authentic chip truck poutine should be. We will definitely be back again when visiting Renfrew next.
