THEY HURT MY DOG. They dropped my dog, they forced and bent his legs, and injured him. Unethical, irresponsible, and unprofessional workers.I asked for a nail trim. The male with the glasses picked up my medium sized corgi without supporting his behind. He only supported him around his stomach which led my corgi's bottom half to be hanging uncomfortably.While holding him (without supporting him fully) my corgi squirmed, and he dropped my dog onto the floor. He then held my dog in the air but closer to the ground while the lady with purple? hair just forcibly cut his nails in the air (my dog was not placed on a table). She grabbed my dog's legs forcibly in directions I don't believe dogs legs should be while my dog is in such distress and crying loudly. I asked for the service to stop as my dog was so upset and I have never seen him like this.When confronted for an explanation, they said that my dog was poorly behaved compared to usual, and that they ALWAYS cut medium sized dogs' nails like that (one person carrying the dog while the other person cuts in the air).I paid and left, only to find BLOOD ALL OVER MY PANTS. MY DOG'S NAILS WERE TRIMMED WAY BEYOND THE QUICK AND HE WAS BLEEDING.When I returned to show them, they lied that they had told me about the bleeding nail and that they had treated it with a powder, and again, took no responsibility or was apologetic in any way. At this point, I realized there was no point in talking about the situation because they were not taking ownership - in fact, they were proud about their unethical practice.Just please, don't take your dog here.I've only ever posted 5 star reviews so I really want to warn everyone about Groom Room.We've been coming here as a loyal customer since my dog was a puppy for nail trims but will never be back.

Never again.The Groom Room was recommended by Unleashed down the street, who are not taking on new clients. I’m hoping they weren’t aware of how bad the Groom Room currently is.The location itself is filthy and dark. The counter person was nice enough but ignored the instructions to trim my dog’s tail.The groomer did a hatchet job on our mini schnauzer. Ragged cuts, random tufts of untrimmed hair here and there, and a huge chunk of fur gone from the side of his neck, almost down to the skin.If I can upload photos with my review I will.The groomer was either incompetent or just didn’t care about doing even a halfway decent job.And frankly, it’s just obnoxious to solicit a tip with payment and wait for that to go through before bringing out your dog.There are a lot of groomers to pick from in Vancouver. I can’t recommend enough to avoid this one.

I would argue to disagree with some of the negative comments left previously as my experience in their shop was fantastic. I felt they handled my pet with care, and the whole process was delicately prepared. I can clearly tell my puppy 丸子 had an rejuvenating grooming experience. Well done The Groom Room!

No longer recommend. They have a new owner and new groomers. They are no good. The last groom my dog had this week, they cut his tail wrong and missed his eyebrows and other areas. I’m also not sure what products they use or if they give the dogs anything as treats. My dog had the runs the next day and puked, I’m hoping he’s ok and it just runs its course. Needless to say they did not take good care of my dog. I miss the old owners and groomers they were so nice, of anyone knows where they went please post it.

Our boys have gone to the Groom Room for many years. They are professional and oh so kind. They refer to our dogs as the big boys". I recommend them highly."

First experience here with my dogs who are rarely groomed. I found the staff to be professional, cordial, and well organized. Communication was awesome as they called mid-groom to check about length on my thinner haired terrier. My dogs came out happy, soft, and looking great! We'll be coming here again :)

I’m a recurrent customer and this place provides great service to my golden doodle Ryan since a puppy all the time. My dog had serious separation anxiety since puppy, but he loves friendly staff there and happy to go there. The price is fair too. Recommend!
