Rachel’s acupuncture treatments are in a class of their own. After 5 knee surgeries + 2 replacements, my body was so misaligned that my usual saviour, Physio, found me struggling weekly with new injuries & different body aches. A galpal raved about her sessions with Rachel so I tried it and I feel like I’ve found a secret miracle cure. My body feels so happy now: it’s working as one vs what felt like infighting. And, as good as that is, the improvement to my attitude and outlook has been an unexpected bonus. When asked how I am, my new reply is “I feel great for no particular reason”. So much happier every day.Her skills, her approach + her demeanour mark her as an expert so if you’re feeling off, in any way, give it a try. Give it 2-3 sessions- I felt that’s when all the benefits really kicked in.

I have been a receiving acupuncture from Rachel for the past 2 years, most recently my last few weeks of pregnancy. Her space is safe, inviting and so incredibly calm. She always takes the time to really check in to see how I am doing, which helps immensely with my trust and comfort with her. I have had acupuncture from a number of clinics and hands down Rachel is one of the best.She guides you through the process with ease. Having a fear of needles she was able to keep me calm during this process.The community aspect makes getting acupuncture affordable. I love Ottawa Community Acupuncture. My journey with OCA and Rachel began just over a year ago, when I had an ongoing, nagging pain in my leg. I tried physio, massage therapy and osteopath - but with little to no long lasting relief. A friend recommended me to OCA - as he'd had success with a sore neck/shoulder issue. After 2 visits the pain was gone. I continue to go to see Rachel weekly to support this local business for it's inviting & peacefulness that it brings to my life. The comfy chairs, the dimmed lights, the meditative music and Rachel's calm nature does the world for my mental health and wellbeing...I also appreciate the quietness Rachel evokes over this space --no cell phones away, whispering in hushed tones.
