Hella Rider Motorcycle Lessons for Women+

Carol led the most amazing classes! I had a lot of anxiety getting on a motorcycle but Carol broke down everything into clear steps that layered into the next and into the next. The learning environment was fun, supportive, and well paced. I travelled from Salt Spring to learn from her and I would do it again!

Cannot recommend Carol and the team at Hella Rider enough if you are learning to ride! The course was fun and you learn a lot in short period of time. Nothing felt too rushed or difficult Carol does a great job of making everything accessible and easy. Relaxed, safe and a good time:)

I just took this course last weekend, Carol is amazing! it was very informative and you learn a lot. Carol is very knowledgable, patient and hilarious! I went from never being on a motorcycle to passing my MSA on the first go. This course is a 10/10 in my books and I would 100% recommend to any women looking at getting into riding, it's so much fun!

Carol at Hell Rider is one of the best instructors I have ever learned from. She put me at ease, gave lots of encouragement and spoke with grace and kindness. She is very knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot quickly in order for me to make the most of my time with her. I can’t recommend her highly enough. 10 out of 5 stars for sure!

Best motocycle school in BC!!! Carol is detail oriented, patient and encouraging!! We went for ride rain or shine, so I learnt to ride in different road and weather condition. Worth paying for some private classes too to polish my skills and confidence!!!!!!!

To all ladies who have been dreaming of riding a motorcycle, here is the good news. We have a school here in Vancouver finally for ladies. I was over the moon when I found hella Rider on google and have had the best experience taking the parking lot class with Carol. She is professional, kind and supportive. She walks you through all the safety details and information step by step and helps you to push your limits. My body was sore in a great way after 2 days of parking class couldn't wait t come home and get on my own bike to see how confident I am. There are great choices for the bikes for any size. You can build your confidence in a very peaceful atmosphere. Another great thing with Hella rider is that they are in cooperation with Proride and you can get the best support you need from the experts whether you wanted to take women only class or co-ed. Thank you Carol. You are amazing!!!! Highly recommended!!!!

If you're a beginner and are looking for a safe, encouraging and fun environment to learn and build your comfort level, this is it!! Carol is absolutely wonderful!!! I honestly can't recommend Hella Rider enough!! I was a bit intimidated at first but it was the best decision I've made. Carol does a phenomenal job making you comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes. I initially wanted to take the private lessons but the group lessons were just as great, I made some new friends and feel so much for free and confident on a bike! A women only lessons also helped calm the nerves and made me feel more comfortable and eager to learn.

I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before, so taking a coarse was important to me as I wanted to learn as much as possible to stay safe on the road. Carol is very experienced and extremely informative. Not only did she teach us the Icbc curriculum but also a lot of everyday extra life skills on a bike that you just won’t find in a book. She made learning fun in a safe environment. She also makes everyone feel very comfortable in her class, as being a new rider it can be very nerve racking and intimidating. She is very calming for those who are feeling nervous and she takes the time to help each individual overcome any issues they may have. If you want to learn to ride I highly recommend taking one of Carol’s classes. I know I’m sending anyone who asks me about riding her way. It was an all around amazing experience. I can’t say enough good stuff about Carol and her Hella Rider lessons.

So much fun! I am so glad I committed to learning a new hobby with Hella Riders. Bought the Hella Better Riders package and thoroughly enjoyed the learning journey all the way through.I felt the classroom sessions with Christopher were informative, insightful, and engaging. Christopher was professional and laid back, thus giving the classroom a relaxed and easy-going learning environment. These classroom sessions were co-ed and it was nice to meet different people from all walks of life.Riding days with Carol were fun, structured, and informative. I enjoyed her warm and playful disposition as it made learning enjoyable and feel more at ease. I enjoyed Carol’s course so much that I wanted to practice through lunch times and even after the course was done! At the end, I was so impressed how myself and the other ladies were able to acquire the basic skills within those two riding days. I have always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle but was always discouraged because of fear, nervousness, and my height. Being a short rider, I never thought I could ever feel comfortable on a bike. But after taking this course I have so much confidence and understanding to ride any motorcycle safely.Even though Carol (the instructor) has taught both men and women, I love that this course was created for women by a woman who understands the way we think and learn. There’s no ego, it’s just a great place to learn.I asked many questions and raised my concerns for weeks before I actually signed up. Carol was patient, responsive and informative, I knew I would have an instructor that really cared about my learning.Classroom:Engaging lessons, and explained in ways anyone who has never ridden could understand. Stuff I didn’t catch when I was reading the guidebook on my own. It covered many safety riding techniques, lane positions, awareness of obstacles and dangers, etc.. things I feel every DRIVER, not just motorcyclist, should know.Practical on a bike:Everything is taught, even from how to confidently get on and sitting positions. Love the drills, safety, emergency maneuvers.There are different types of bikes to learn on - I did mine on a Grom (which I loved and ended up buying).At the end of the two days of riding, I had so much more confidence and control, I passed.
