CIBC Branch with ATM

This branch has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Need to call and speak with a real person? Good luck getting through their automated gauntlet. When you do get through most of the time you will likely just up up getting the branch general line" answering machine. Even if you do reach a staff member there is a 50/50 chance they will give you incorrect information anyway. Their in-person service is no better either."

This CIBC branch has grown over the last 8 months. My husband and I were ready to close all our accounts and leave CIBC for good. But Tricia has worked with us fixing other branches and employees mess ups. She has been amazing to deal with and fights for the client. Which is a change for once. Thank you Tricia for all your amazing help.... you rock.But always keep an eye on your accounts.

I cannot believe how customer service has deteriorated over the years. After waiting three days for a return call for booking an appointment I have decided I no longer wish to transfer my accounts to this branch. I guess I should have read the previous reviews first. It should be a zero rating, totally unsatisfactory service.

If i could leave a review with zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Asked to speak with someone for general information. 15 minutes it took front end staff to tell me all the reasons they couldn't help me. Finally spoke to someone who proceeded to tell me in they could see me in maybe a week"

The worst CIBC brach I ever visited. I have ordered a cheque book for my business account and ended up getting wrong companies name. She submitted the wrong companies name for printing, went back to bank to get it fix and she order another one guess what she messed up again. What a joke.On top charged again for her mistake and when I talked to her she said “ I thought you said you are ok paying again” why I will pay again for someone else mistake.

Terrible experiences at this.... My home branch. Very flow. Usually a large line with only one or two people working..... Even though they have over ten tills. On multiple occasions I have had to go back to branch for them to correct errors they create. Spent 40 min in a line today only to be turned away with no help whatsoever.

I agree with many of the other reviews here, the customer service here has been absolutely abysmal, particularly with the front end staff. Tellers like Brenda and Krista are often intentionally rude and looking for any pretext to deny service. There is no way that a banking customer should be paying fees for the kind of service that CIBC has provided me with. It is a pain to switch all of your automatic payments over to a different bank, but in this case getting out of CIBC is a no-brainer. The management is clearly not interested in retail customers.

I had one of the tellers lie straight to my face and say that endorsing a cheque over to someone else was no longer an option. My young daughter does not have her own checking account and due to banking hours, overlapping with her school hours we have been unable to open up an account, except for on Saturdays. When we went in today to do this, they didn’t have time to, which is understandable however, the small paycheque she got was not allowed to be cashed without a bank account. When I inquired about her signing the back and endorsing it over to myself, and putting it into my account the teller told me that that was no longer an option and it was illegal. She then told us to go to ‘money mart’. It’s not illegal and if she honestly thinks it is maybe she needs better training.

I had a major issue with my bank account and had to get a new debit card today. The process was quick and easy. The teller was very helpful and I received excellent customer service. I'm happy that this is my bank
