Woooow! I had dinner here with friends and have to say it was easily the best meal I've had in a very long time! The food was out of this world. We had a bit of everything and was not disappoint with a single thing.

I am going to Citizen again this week and I am so looking forward to it.Here is a throwback to my first visit. I usually wait a few times before I write a review but the experience was so good the first time that I made an exception.I don't eat meat and this was seriously one of the best meals at a restaurant I have ever had. Everything tasted amazing and each dish was so creative and plated beautifully - it was art on a plate. Customer service gets a gold star too.

Another beautiful evening spent with friends eating some delicious food at Citizen.•We greatly enjoy sharing plates as we get to sample more tasty options off the menu. Every single plate served this evening was beautifully presented and delicious.•The Town Meatballs are a staple but the mushroom Suppli, falafel and agnolotti were top contenders this evening. We also enjoyed the endive salad which was delicately balanced with a touch of sweetness. Delicious!•If we had to pick the weakest plate of the evening, although tasty basque cheesecake was not out favorite option.•Great restaurant, friendly and efficient service, well crafted cocktails and tasty food. Hope you enjoy as much as we do..

Nice selection of wines, being connected to the adjacent wine shop, Town. Food is tasty, fresh, with good use of herbs and sauce. A little bit too fussy for me, but the overall experience is well worth a visit. Definitely a place to enjoy creative and well composed dishes. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly.

A slam dunk in so many ways. A definite place to try in the Ottawa area.I visited with a few friends and tried multiple items, including their roasted sweet potato hummus, town meatballs, Humboldt squid calamari, and sweet corn creme brulee. You can either share or every person can get their own meal, but we decided to order a few things to share. Suffice it to say that they were all absolutely incredible, and each dish coming out of the kitchen left us eager to try the next one. Everything was flavourful, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. My personal favourite was the roasted sweet potato hummus, but if you find something on the menu that sounds good to you, chances are that you'll love it.Check out @foodpharaoh on Instagram for more food!

Amazing experience. Drinks are well designed with delicate twists to perfection. Sunchoke was presented 5 ways, elevates and emphasizes the natural texture and flavor. The dessert, tropical mess, is sweet and sour with layers of crunchy almond and creamy sorbet.

Citizen offered a great dining experience with good food and even better service. Their drink choices were extensive with lots of different wines, ciders and beers to try. The food was very flavourful and each plate was very meticulously put together. Our waitress Emily was very in depth in explaining each item of the menu and clearly knew it like the back of her hand. Dessert is definitely worth getting, I would recommend the Hazelnut Cake.

Nice restaurant with good services. Atmosphere was pleasant and nice. Definitely more of a social place to eat. Plating was small, but tasty dishes. I did find the menu to be on the pricer side however the various dishes we ordered did taste delicious, especially the crispy chicken burger.
