I want to thank VERA Home Care and especially Nurse Janette for wonderfully compassionate and extremely thorough care as she assessed a family member's health in our home today. I have hired (and parted ways with) several in-home care companies over the course of the past 4+ years that my mother (living with dementia) has received 24/7 in-her-home care. I visit regularly, but live over 7 hours away from my mother, so I need dependable, solid, reliable companies to provide excellent care for her in my absence. I have seen and experienced a lot (good and bad) in this industry, so I speak with some knowledge. To increase depth and ensure 24/7 shift coverage, I added Vera Homecare to the care team 3 months ago. Currently, they provide 10-12 hours of daily care. Vera Homecare Company Director Vitali, and care providers Renata, Prisca and Sokheng have been true “earth angels” for my mother and a godsend for me. I do not have enough words of praise for Vitali. He is one of the nicest, most pleasant, happy and accommodating people I have ever met. Vitali answers the phone, is accessible, easy to deal with, prompt, responsive, timely, compassionate, proactive, on-the-ball, collaborative and very knowledgeable. He listens, is highly flexible, makes great suggestions and follows through. He has been reachable at all hours. He took time to hire a team of care providers specific to my and my mother’s needs. I am thrilled with the consistent well-matched team of knowledgeable, compassionate, positive, energetic, attentive, highly-skilled ladies he assembled to provide all aspects of ADL (Activities of Daily Living) care for my mother in her home – cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication prompting, entertainment, socializing, outings, personal care, dressing, record keeping, regular contact with me, etc.. On several occasions and on rather short notice, Vitali has been able to fill overnight shift gaps from the other company. This is remarkable in today’s staff shortage situation! I find their fee rate to be more than competitive, and Vitali consistently goes above-and-beyond with value add-ons. I am forever grateful to this amazing team of people who help me (from a distance) ensure my mother is well cared for and has the best quality of life in her home. I highly recommend Vera Homecare.

Mike was a god send while I rehabilitated from a stroke last year. Mike was so patient and encouraging while he helped me to walk again. Mike had the strength to move me from my wheelchair and relearn to stand, and then we rapidly progressed to a walker, and within a week I took my first steps.There is so much to learn after a stroke and Mike was truly a unique and special teacher. It was always exciting when Mike arrived and we got down to work. We practiced eye exercises and relearning how to write and do math. Once I was strong enough we also took walks outside. Mike was always very careful and made sure I never tripped or fell. Mike also taught me to use a computer again. Mike has so many skills. He taught me soduko and most importantly he is always a pleasure to be with.
