Light House Adult Day Program

Lighthouse has truly been a godsend to the lives of my son and I.He has advanced himself over the last few years both socially and with the various personal life skills he has learned from the Lighthouse staff. They have been very accommodating up to the point where he is now using the transit system (in his case) to the Lighthouse Day Program and back home.Though every person is unique, we are truly grateful for this program and especially the staff that makes this possible.

The participants are lovely

My daughter has been attending Light House Day Program since June 2022. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and programming. She LOVES going. LOVES IT! She has made friends, she feels safe and included. She really struggled coming out of High School and not having structure and the pandemic hit and she was really struggling with her mental health. As a parent it was really difficult to watch and I felt somewhat helpless. Since she's been attending the program, her mental health has improved significantly. She's come out of her shell, by participating in activities, having an opportunity to lead activities and participate in volunteer opportunities in the community. And I haven't even started on the STAFF - hands down, the BEST! They truly care about the participants and it shows. All are well trained and genuinely warm and caring. This is truly a place for Adults with Disabilities to come and be welcome and engaged. Best decision we ever made.

Lighthouse is a wonderful program, the staff is professional and friendly. My Son feels at home there and comes home extremely happy. There is an excellent mix of skill training and social activities. There is a presence in the community with volunteer work in local businesses. The setting is bright and colourful, lots to do and explore. I am so glad we found this excellent program.I wish I could give more than 5 stars to Lighthouse!
