Richmond Public Library, Ironwood Branch

Staff are always so friendly and accommodating when I forget my library card.

It truly is a nice place to read and study but I’ve two bad experiences. They allow people to cough and sneeze profusely without addressing them. They dismiss you if you complain that it is not safe for everyone using the space. Even though many of the staff is helpful the lady I spoke to about the obvious cold someone had said pretty much it was none of her business. Another time, my sons had a bad experience when they went to restroom. A man came in behind them and started swearing how he hates multicultural communities in Canada. My youngest was terrified. Children come in and are super noisy at times. However the resources are good and it has nice views of the Ironwood area.

Lots of different areas to study, haven't looked at any of the books but looks decent, great staff.-1 star for turning off the lights 40 minutes before closing...I can understand if they give a 15 minute warning, but what's the point of the 40 minute switch? Makes the patrons anxious and thinking, is the closing time changed today?" Bizarre."

I absolutely love this place. This is a dreamland for anyone who wants to read and learn. I don't want to end my review without mentioning how supportive Kevin has been.

Richmond Public Library is really nice place to spend time. It has decent collection for Fiction, Non-Fiction, kids, etc. books, DVDs, CDs & other material. The branch at ironwood is really good. It has huge area with multiple desks and couches for reading. It has computer stations for kids as well as adults. The books are always neatly arranged and seems like staff really works hard to make it happen. The staff is courteous and helpful. I visit often with my kids/family and always had a pleasant experience.

I just called and had to hang up Alice called me back immediately from my missed call phone number. She assisted me promptly and my problem was settled. Thank you Alice for being so efficient and so friendly

Library currently open including study area with social distance spacing marked. Computer room also available but with social distance limits so only half of computers available. Book donations still not accepted due to Covid19

Smaller library compared to the main branch. Operations has resumed to pre-pandamic. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy…so overall a nice way not to drive to city centre.

This library has a lot of books for children and is convenient.

Very helpful and convenient location wise, staffs are friendly and very accommodating especially with people who are struggling with printing and technical issues like,computer use,printing, photocopying etc. It helps a lot to accomplish paperwork for Government purposes if you see friendly staffs willing to help and not passive.
