Boxgrove Medical Centre

This place used to be good. My dad used to come here often and I found their staff here were reasonable and the doctors were caring. Over the years they go worse and worse. They turned me away from the clinic last year and asked me to book a phone consultation because I was coughing - fair enough it was during covid and I understood the risk for the doctors. Today I emailed them requesting a phone consultation and their response to me was, they are only doing phone consultations for people who have been tested positive for covid. I explained to them my symtoms and that I didn't have a covid test kit to find out if I'm negative or positive. Their quick response was then that they booked me a phone consultation and the doctor will call me sometime TODAY (they did confirm my phone number and got my health card number). That email was sent at 8:43 in the morning. I was already 19:20 in the evening and since I never got a call, I emailed them asking for an update. Their response to me at 20:14 Hello please walk in from Monday-Friday 8-8". I'm done with this clinic.*UPDATEDoctor finally calls at 20:42. Gives me his diagnosis and said to call back again in 2-3 days if symptoms do not improve. Confirmed with him if he needed me to come in or is phone consultation possible as I have been given different responses within the last 12 hours. He said either or. So let's see what happens in 2-3 days."

Horrible receptionist. They never answer the phone I call like 20 times and one time I call somehow I hear the reception calling someone else and ignoring other calls and then tells me she will call back and never calls! Your lucky if you get through they need to work on your receptionist its a medical clinic not a store… Its important to answer calls patients are sick and need their medication when they need it…

Awful clinic, have been misdiagnosed twice and know of a family member who has been misdiagnosed. Have been suffering for an unnecessary amount of extra time because they are useless here.

I had an honesty really bad experience, I do have to say the reception staff were amazing, it is the doctor who made me feel so inclined to write this review, we went into the room and was waiting to see the doctor, he saw 2 people who came in before us, those two people were both just asking for doctors notes ( not the most urgent) i understand having long wait times i work in a healthcare setting myself. once the doctor came in and we discussed, he gave bloodwork and ultrasound. he did not give any more information so i asked if something comes up on the bloodwork will you call, he said yes we will call if something is wrong but you can also come in next week to follow up, i did not hear him clearly as it was very loud so i thought he said that i could call back which i asked to clarify. the doctor then said no we are a urgent care centre you can come back to get the results. i then asked if an appointment could be booked to come back because it is a 3 hour wait which kind of sucks to wait for bloodwork results, which he replied, no this is an urgent care centre, you can go to the hospital which will have a 10 hour wait or here which is 2 hours, markham stouffville hospital any time i have been there has had a 3-6 hour wait so i replied the hospital does not have a 10 hour wait. the doctor rolled his eyes and said we have a lot of people come in there is 100 people waiting outside (there were 40) and we see people as fast as we can. which i replied i totally understand i was not trying to give you trouble for the wait times sorry. he then asked if i have a familu doctor and told me typicaly i can make an appointment with my family doctor and there will be no wait times. the whole time the doctor was talking to me in an extremely condescending tone. the last time i visited boxgrove they made me sit outside for 2 hours before a dr called me. honestly horrible paitent care i did not feel like i was in a safe space and the dr was extremely rude.

Patient care is always OK. Wait isn't too long. 20 minutes average.But this practice charges $80 for an employer sick note. That is INSANE.

I understand they are very busy but I was quite disappointed that when I requested a mask from reception for my child , they refused. How come you don't have one specially if someone forgets to bring.

One star is one too many. I took my husband to Urgent Care on the long weekend in August with an excruciating back. He was in such pain that he had to remain in the car until it was his turn to be seen. The doctor came in and even tho he was told that hubby felt a ‘pop’ when he was putting on his sock and the pain started then, he spent thirty SECONDS with him, said it was a pulled muscle and to take some Tylenol. Then he walked out. Today Hubby was able to see his family doctor. His examination was a proper one and the diagnosis was a herniated disc. X-rays we’re ordered and pain meds prescribed. This “doctor” did no service to us. If they want fewer patients in the future, this is the way to do it. It certainly was not helpful.

I would have rated it zaro star if there was one.I have been there a few times for myself and my family. In general, those doctors don’t care about their patients. After waiting for 2 hours when they are with me they only ask two to three questions then let me go.Today the doctor sent me out within one minute his name is Sharifian Babak.If you don’t have a heart to serve and care you’d better go and do something else.You are a shame to the career of Doctor.

I visited the box Grove medical clinic today for a cough I’ve been having for over two weeks. I was seen by Dr. Nader Taghaddos. This isn’t my first time visit in the clinic or seeing this doctor however it is my first time back after about a few years due to my previous experiences. After telling the doctor about my ongoing cough and sore throat for over two weeks, he explained to me that it’s normal for this to happen for about 10 to 14 days. He advised me to take cough syrups, drink lots of fluids, and have halls to help, and I let him know I’ve been doing this consistently. After explaining I would be going into my third week with the symptoms he simply walked away and said “you’ll be OK”. I asked what I should do if this continues and was given no answer. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing to visit a clinic looking for a solution or Yelp when the Doctor seems to have no care for his clients and can only advise “you’ll be okay”.

Very slow. Went in to get a leg of a tick out and after waiting 20-30 minutes the doctor comes in and tells me it’s fine my body will push it out and it’s not. It’s trying to heal in the wound.. a nurse in Stouffville saw the leg tried to remove it due to lack of tools and how deep in it was she couldn’t. She figured this place would be able to.. I must inform her of the lack of care from this place. Should have never come here.. put my life at risk for absolutely no reason/help. Terrible clinic. Do not go here.
