About the Business
St. Teresa's Parish, Etobicoke - Saint Teresa Parish | Saint Teresa’s Parish in Etobicoke was established in 1924 in order to provide pastoral care for the local Catholics. Soon after, Irish immigrants found this church to be their spiritual home. Other ethnic groups have followed and therefore, the parish is a mosaic of Canadian multiculturalism. It is a place where people of all age groups and cultural backgrounds gather to celebrate the Eucharist. We currently have a large Polish community thus Eucharists are celebrated in English as well as in Polish languages. Our parish provides various pastoral and sacramental ministries such as preparations for sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation, services for the elderly at Lakeshore Lodge, a ministry for children and youth at Holy Trinity Elementary School, Fr. John Redmond High School, and a Polish heritage school which offers language classes to elementary school children at Saint Josaphat School. Our parish offers a Christian formation through the neocatechumenate. It is home to the following groups: scouts, a dancing group “Podhale”, children choir “Oasis”, the musical band “Gethsemane” and a Filipino choir.

Scared Heart of Jesus pray for us, Saint Jude worker of miracles pray for us, Saint Jude helper of the hopeless pray for us. My wife and I decided to visit this church for the first time especially on the day of the Feast on Oct 1st. Though we couldn’t attend the mass, we were very happy that we visited the beautiful church. We also had an opportunity to have some snacks served downstairs and the parishioners were very friendly. May God bless all.

My family and I have been members of St. Teresa’s Church for close 25 years. One of my favourite things is the ‘family’ atmosphere of the church’s community. It is very warm and inviting. It is a place where ‘everyone knows your name’.They say it takes a village and there are many wonderful villagers/volunteers who work tirelessly assisting the pastor to keep things operating smoothly.The church has beautiful choirs that enhance the celebration of mass.The church is always beautifully decorated during the various seasons and celebrations. It is a very happy place / space.

Nicely decorated parish. It can get cold during the weekdays but Fr Darizus is very welcoming. He loves scripture and his homily always hit the heart and is driven by the Spirit.

Have been coming back to this church throughout my life. One of the first churches that I can remember going back into my early childhood years. A great spot for community. After coming to Canada from Poland, my family was able to meet many new friends that made the transition a lot easier. God bless

At St. Teresa's church one can feel and witness the love and devotion of the parishioners towards God and neighbors. We are a family of Polish and English-speaking people of different ethnic backgrounds who are united in prayers. Under the guidance and support of our tireless Pastor, Fr. Jozef Morawski, everyone is able to participate in the reception of the Sacraments, even during this pandemic with so many restrictions that he adheres to religiously.He truly cares for his flock and really came to serve and not to be served.
