My kids have been doing classes and camp at Charb Arts since they were 2.5 years old. 8 years later they are more driven and more enthusiastic about dance and the arts than ever, thanks to this studio and the amazing teachers. After seeing how much my kids love it, I decided to try the adult dance classes they offer and very much enjoy the beginner-friendly atmosphere and movement/learning challenge.

As a private music teacher myself, I have to say that I am probably more critical than most when it comes to my expectations from a children's program of any kind. CHARB provides an extremely positive, encouraging, creative AND educational space for individuals of all ages. I first discovered this studio while pregnant with my son. A friend had invited me to a contemporary dance class and (although I was not great at it) I had an absolute blast! My teacher made everything look flawless (he was a gorgeous dancer!!!!) and the passion, talent, experience and humility (despite being INCREDIBLE) he brought to every lesson, made me want to go back each week - even at 7, 8 months pregnant. Now I attend the Intellidance class series with my 21 month old son and he LOVES it!!!! While Ms. Crista comes from an impressive dance background, with a dance education that includes the Boston Conservatory (aka Berklee College), she is able to connect with the little ones on an entirely different level, helping every child grow in their day to day skills and learning through creative movement, music and an overwhelming love and passion for what she does. My son looks forward to Sunday mornings, and whenever I ask him if he is ready to go to dance class, despite only having been in the program for seven weeks now, he responds with one of the many movement songs taught in class as he marches to the door to get his boots on. He LOVES Ms Crista, and often wants to be right up front and centre with her specifically, during our classes. She is so welcoming and loving, it truly warms my heart (ESPECIALLY when I consider that my son has lived his entire life in the midst of the pandemic and has little exposure to others and the outside world). This dance studio is unlike any other. Rather than focus on the often toxic and competitive nature that I have seen and heard about from my own students and friends, CHARB focuses on uplifting, supporting and mentoring their students, pulling out incredible amounts of expression, creativity and passion in all who attend. The dedicated and extremely talented team of professional teachers and staff are kind and encouraging and just make this a beautiful and uplifting environment, where parents and students look forward to weekly sessions and WANT to be there.I honestly can't say enough good things about this studio. It is a dance school GEM in the city of Toronto. Anyone looking to foster a love and passion for the arts, for themselves or for their children, would be a fool not to check this incredible dance school out!!!!!

I sent my 10 year old son to Charb Arts for a PA day Arts workshop - dance, drama and visual arts. He is not an arts" kid but he had a fantastic day and wants to go back. The space is spacious an dwell designed. The staff friendly and enthusiastic.I highly recommend Charb Arts and am thrilled to have them so close to home."

Charb Arts was recommended to me by a fellow Mom my girls went to school with, and for 2 years we participated in various dance groups, music classes, the arts, PA Day camps.. This place is the holy grail for artistic and theatrical children. My girls loved everything they participated in, the teachers are beyond talented, patient and kind. Each year there was a HUGE recital for all the students and showcased their hard work from the year. I was in awe of how much effort, organization, and love everyone poured into the production. I would recommend Charb Arts to anyone who was looking for a fun program for their child. They have so many options for all age groups. Incredible work ladies, keep it up!!!

When Charb Arts was recommended to me, I was looking for a simple painting class that my 5YO would enjoy. I did not expect to find the superb level of quality and professionalism that we have experienced. I am continually impressed with the pieces my daugther completes - sophisticated 2D artwork that allows her to explore various techniques and materials. She looks forward to the class each week and for the first time, has asked to continue this class through the entire year! The staff are amazing with the kids and Lori is a smart and compassionate business owner who is truly invested in sharing the artistic experience with children.

What a wonderful spot! Joined the intellidance program with my little one. He loves all the music and movement and it’s also been lovely to spend time with other new parents. Ms Crista is so warm and positive, it’s been a great experience - highly recommend.

Highly recommend Intellidance for babies/ toddlers. Now that programs have opened up more, it's nice to bring babies out to play. And, good for parents to meet up. There is tons of music, dance and play. The instructor will include tidbits on baby development and latest research so you see how the session connected everything together. Babies are super happy, it's very good energy and highly recommend.

My 3 y/o daughter participated in the summer camp and was led by warm teachers, who offered a great program in a beautiful space. We’ll be back!

Charb Arts is more than a dance studio. It embodies a community and their team, under Lori's vision and direction, are a diverse group of talented and kind humans. They help provide their students with structure, knowledge, creative opportunity and vision that goes beyond the 4 walls of the dance studio. I cannot recommend them enough. This is no 'dolly dinkle' company. They go deeper and have meaning in their art and understand the developing child's needs at all stages of their growth.
