A few weeks ago Hurricane Dorian passed through NB Canada and luckily for us we had just purchased the Car Generator and were able to use it.Since it was the first time using it, we did need a few directives in starting it up but Jonathan was there to answer our call and easily walked us through it.Fridge scanned in at 161 kw and the Satellite TV at 262 kw and by using a power bar, were also able to charge our phones and whatever else needed to be charged.The best part of this is you can call the Company 7 days a week for assistance and Jonathan is right there to take your call.It is a life saver when you have no power and always have a vehicle in your driveway to hook up the generator.

I have had a CarGenerator since before Christmas. Thankfully I haven't had to use it.But I really wish we had it back in the ice storm of 2013, when my sister's power was out during Christmas day and into the evening.A BBQ saved the day for the turkey, but if we'd had a CarGenerator at the time, we would have been able to have heat and light as well.My favourite part of it is the fact I can keep it in my car's trunk, ready to use it in any weather if and when I need it. I was going to buy a full-on gasoline generator, but storing that would have been a royal pain as I don't have much room in my garage to begin with.Also, I can't easily schlep a gas generator around, if it's needed somewhere else.The CarGenerator literally goes where I go. I'm going to take it with me on car camping trips, as it's very handy for providing clean 110V for my laptop, etc.I've tested it with my new furnace (DC variable speed motor, peaking at about 200W), and it works perfectly, with wattage to spare. It requires the installation of a 110 volt outlet, which is straightforward, but an electrician can help you if this is something you aren't confident doing.Great for wherever/whenever you need power in a pinch. It's a great little device and very useful!

I purchased a Car Generator to initially Charge my Lion Energy Safari ME Inverter while I was camping in my RV. My RV is a Keystone Cougar Half-ton 5th wheel model # 25RESWE.This was in place of a generator reason being the truck is quieter. After some investigation I was able to connect to my 50 Amp RV connector using a 50 to 20 Amp dogbone. This enabled me to not only power AC devices in my RV but also charge my Lion Energy Safari UT 1300 batteries.I made a ground plug to eliminate the no ground signal I was receiving from my Power Watch Dog Surge Protector.I received outstanding support from Car Generator anytime I contacted them with questions. I highly recommend this product as an alternative to a generator for camping.

We purchased a Car Generator just prior to Canadian Thanksgiving, and yesterday I took your advice to have a run through drill setting up the generator with my car and running an extension cord into the house, connecting a standing lamp, the TV and an appliance. All worked perfectly.It wasn’t an hour later, after I had stored the generator, cords and meter in an accessible spot that our power went out. The utility confirmed an outage over a large area of the city that was expected to last almost 6 hours. I went from practice into real life, setting up Car Generator again, and running cords into the house, in minutes. This time I connected the refrigerator, living room TV, TV/internet modem, lights and a charging table for our devices. We didn’t need to connect the furnace because we have a gas fireplace that kept the main floor of our bungalow comfortably warm. Gas stove burners and a gas BBQ meant we could still have our Saturday night steak dinner conveniently.Instead of a cold dark evening, we were warm, well fed, and entertained by our favourite television programs. All thanks to Car Generator.

After the last big ice storm in Toronto when we were without power for three days we switched from an electric stove to gas so that we could have hot food during a similar situation. I was interested in a generator but do not have anywhere to store one when not in use plus we have observed that they are really noisy when in operation! I recently read the Toronto Star article that featured Jonathan and the CarGenerator and determined that it checked off most of my requirements. After ordering one and installing the furnace connection kit I can confirm that it does the job! My furnace seems to draw more power than the average because the meter says it is using 620W but the CarGenerator has no problem running it using my Subaru Crosstrek as the power source.

My CarGenerator was late arriving due to being held up in customs, but their customer service department kept me updated on delivery timing. The product was delivered and was exactly as advertised, with clear instructions on how to operate and tips on possible applications. I hooked it up, had a minor issue (user error) and called their support number. Jonathon returned my call promptly (I had already figured out my error). The CarGenerator worked smoothly to power my RV... I think it is a great product!

Our business is in an area where there are power outages a 1/2 dozen times a year. We have been able to keep the lights on, keep the internet connected, and the students studying thanks to the car generator.

I just put good use to the generator, we had a major ice storm, where we lost all power for 4 days. I reread the easy instructions how to hook up the system ran 3 extension cords to the refrigerator, freezer and instant gas water heater and all worked as normal, I used a surge protector to plug in extra chargers, this summer I will use the kit which came with the system to put a plug on the furnace so we can have heat. I also helped out the neighbours by topping up their refrigerators and freezers - great system -

I recently came across CarGenerator and was immediately sold. No gas generator, slim design and easy to use. Really liked how portable the unit is. This is a perfect solution to keep the unit at the cottage in the summer and at home in the winter. I tried the unit when it arrived and the installation and setup was a breeze. I was able to power my fridge, TV, lamps etc. It’s amazing how your vehicle becomes the generator.The possiblities are endless, camping, picnics, and job sites. You basically turn your car into an outlet.
