Point of Mara Resort & Trailer Park

Drove through the park and husband received info from the office. We were considering renting a motel room/cabin for our family. Seemed small, out dated, and not very private. Campers were friendly and waved. Felt the trailers were too close. Like that they have an onsite restaurant. Grounds were very clean. No junk around the trailers that stood out to us. All things considered I would still go.

This place is beautiful! The owners are so nice and the cottages are well-organized. They provide almost everything to have the best stay possible (a variety of bikes, fire pits, outdoor chairs, barbecue, kayaks) We came here on my daughter's birthday and she had an amazing time! You will have a fantastic view of lake Simcoe. It was time well spent.

Don't read what people complain about on here. This is was my family's first time here and one of the best vacations we have taken. Right on the water with a clean private beach. The owners were very helpful and even offered to drop our trailer into position. Prices are very reasonable. Washrooms are extremely clean including the shower.

It's nice site but on long weekends too crowded, need more privacy. I had a feeling like siting at backyard . This is not so important,- the real problem are people who runs that business . They are really rude (special at reception) and unprofessional. The only thing they care about is MONEY !!! 2 month ago I planned this vacation at one amount of cash and only CASH (they had told me on the phone the price of staying ) ended up with double price ( under $400 dollars). So carefully who wants to make a reservation on Point of Mara ask everything what you need , double check and if is possible record the conversation, otherwise you will pay double.

Awesome experience...Christine and her husband are outstanding hosts. More than met our expectations. Loved it so much we are going back in July, August and September. If you have a chance, look them up! You will not be disappointed!!

Point of Mara is truly our home away from home and has been for many years. The park has everything our family with young children needs: a spacious beach with plenty of shade, 2 long docks to step or jump into the lake from, a marina to store your boat / Sea-Doo and a giant playground for the children. On premises you can also find public washrooms and showers that are always kept clean.Christine and family are wonderful hosts. They are always happy to help, listen and strive to always make their guests' stays most enjoyable.A group of park volunteers put on fun and memorable events throughout the summer each year, like fireworks displays, karaoke, horse shoe tournaments, scavenger hunts, wine & cheese and a huge thanksgiving dinner at the end of the season.If you are looking for a place to party this park is not for you. Seasonal campers like ourselves chose this park because of its quiet atmosphere. We are very happy here and look forward to our summers each year.

Christine isn't a nice person. She is really rude and not friendly. I used to go there years ago with my husband it was our favorite place place but no it has changed a lot I but I brought my mom there For a mother daughter time and I thought it would be nice but the people there that runs the place didn't make us feel comfortable Emily my mom said she'll never want to go back there and I also agree with her

I was a member of this park for 3 years, at first I found the park to be a friendly and clean, first impression was nice.However the owner of this park she's one miserable, grumpy, mad that she only caresabout money! Money! And she doesn't care about you or anyone.I sold my trailer to a handicap lady that was not able to drive her car over the speed bumps, she had to go a little on to the grass to prevent damages to her vehicle, she came up to me and told me that they're not welcome back at the park, I explained her situation and her answer was (life sucks she can go look on to another park)I offer her $5000 to let her take the trailer and spot but this grumpy B..... made me realize that she's racist perhaps cause she was Latino or handicap ♿..I would not recommend this park unless you need drama in your life..Christine you need skills towards people and talk with respect to othes cause you are the lowest I have seen in humans.Chico...
