Hakim Optical - St. Vital Centre

Attention management/potential purchasers. I had been dealing the St Vital Hakim store since 2013 and the experience was great because there was no problems. I had gone to have a pair of my older glasses and the cost was two times greater than the normal sale! I tried to book an appoint and I was told rudely that I did need to book an appointment. Sadly I felt that I was not welcomed at their store.Good luck Hakim Optical!

I went to Hakim several years ago when they were on Meadowood Dr, excellent service. We moved away from Winnipeg.For eye testing and our glasses we still come back to good service and hospitality.A longer drive means nothing when you have good service.Keep up the good work

Each staff member was so kind and helpful. They all did their best to make sure I was taken care of. The customer service was amazing and this is where I will tell everybody go to get their glasses and eye appointments.

This has to be by far the best (Opticians Office) I've been too! The staff very friendly, and willing to help, even when fairly busy.I have minor problems which they have fixed to a T, leaving me with a smile on my face! I'll be returning time and time again.

If I could give a zero star I would go with that :\ the optometrist wasted my insurance for nothing. I am not satisfied with her job. The reason I chose that branch was because I needed to get a glass ASAP so I called many optometrists to book a time but non had anything available earlier that this one. No wonder why!

It's really too bad that Hakim St Vital lost their former optician Mellissa. The entire staff seems to have changed over in the last couple of months and they are terrible. They do not seem to care about the customers and seem unwilling to help. Most of the time you can't even purchase anything because their new optician is hardly there. The rest of the staff prefers to chat amongst themselves and have little to no knowledge of working in a optical store. They have horrible customer service skills.

I've been coming to Hakim for years but I won't be back. Apparently at the beginning of this year, they implemented a new policy where you could no longer re-order contact lenses over the phone and pay when picking them up, even if you were a repeat customer who pays their balance in full. I was told this when I tried to re-order over the phone so I told the staff fine, I'll come in person. They didn't inform me until I got to the store that it can only be done by 1 person and she only worked specifics days and the day I had come in was not one of them. Waste of time. So I had to make another trip the next day. I only did this as it doesn't take very long for the contact lenses to come in and I was running low. I just ordered contacts from a website so they'll conveniently be shipped to my door. And when I need an eye exam, I won't be choosing Hakim. The discount card a friend gave me many years ago isn't worth going back to a place where the employees care so little. I'll pay extra to go elsewhere if I need to.

Thought I was going to be happy with my almost 500$ purchase. Went here over pearle vision and lenscrafters. Upset I did now. My glasses came in and now I'm being forced to make an appointment instead of them just letting me get them when I have a moment. I work 7 days a week. This is very inconvenient. They won't give me my damn money back so its being forced upon my husband. The selection wasn't the best either. Not happy. Stay away from here!
