we love to drop by every month at the wonderful Shelter....they have amazing staff. ..and equally amazing volunteers....hands on and working behind the scenes with fund raising projectsThe Shelter has a beautiful fund raising calendar to take part in ...or purchase....and would always very much welcome food ( especially cans)and $ donations as they receive no government funding.Their animals are healthy and well...now fed, safe and protected....gorgeous dogs and cats...please inquire about adoption !

This is a wonderful, no-kill shelter with an amazing staff of compassionate people whose main objective is to find loving homes for all animals in their care.

I recently adopted a cat from them the staff was super nice couldn’t be happier.

Volunteers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us choose our dog. We adore our dog and have had him for over two years, they have a No kill policy which is amazing. I admire all their love and dedication in assuring these animals are loved and find the right homes!

I had recently adopted a cat from this SPCA, and the owner came by week later looking for it. The SPCA staff didn't know how to manage this situation, which for me is hard to believe is uncommon to animal shelters. I kindly returned the cat to its owner but was never reimbursed or payed further assistance t'sby the staff. It's a shame they won't offer help when a special cases occurs, so make sure you clear any doubt and write them in paper to avoid situation like this. I do not recommend this SPCA for the little help I was given.

** Read it before adopting**Me and my fiancé adopted two dogs over there (sadly returned them due to false information about them from A to Z). They gave us papers saying their date of birth was in December 2020 & that the dogs they made us adopt as a pair were compatible. Both dogs were examine by a vet, one was 5-6 years old and the other 1-2 years old. One came with multiple health issues that apparently they didn’t know. The other hand, they told us they were brothers (clearly a lie). The whole time during our stay, they went into multiple fights, not over food, toys or water. Just multiple fights that we had to separate due to being able to see each other.

My first visit to Montérégie. A busy, and very slightly disorganized environment, on adoption day.BUT all the staff appear devoted and concerned with the animals' best welfare. We adopted a beautiful, healthy young dog, who impressed our regular veterinarian.

Adopted a cat about a month ago. The transaction went very smoothly. The girls working there were very friendly. I've since had to bring my cat a few times to see their vets and they've been very helpful. I'm very glad I got my cat from them

We am so incredibly grateful for this organization that puts the needs and welfare of animals above all else. My husband and I found a beautiful cat who had been abandoned by a rural route. The cat was scared, meowing, severely dehydrated and very disoriented. The previous owner had left a can of cat food and a Tupperware filled with water. This cat was incredibly affectionate and sociable. So the spca graciously accepted the cat and we will be forever thankful that this amazing kitty will get a second chance. Whoever will be lucky to adopt her will fall in love instantly. The staff at the spca have to deal with irresponsible pet owners and hear horror stories of abandonment daily. If they set the bar high as to who they will adopt animals to, so be it. Not everyone is equipped to care for an animal. It is a lifetime commitment. My experience there was the best. During the adoption of my dog Evy they were very kind and nice. I also loved the way i saw they take care of the animal, beyond they are depending on donations.
