Year after year I am impressed with PDPA. The studio has such amazing, creative and dedicated teachers, who really work hard to provide an awesome program that is both structured and fun. The little details and special days Miss. Jeannelle adds to her classes make it feel like a family. I wish I had a program like this when I was a little girl.

My family has been with prodigy for about 3 years and it has been the most positive experience for both of my sisters. Jeannelle and Layla are fantastic at what they do and the studio is extremely well run and managed. All of the competitive pieces are beautifully choreographed and it’s evident that they bring out the best in each and every dancer. We love prodigy and would recommend the studio to everyone.

I just began dancing at prodigy this year, it was a new studio for me, but every single person was extremely welcoming and kind and i feel part of a family. Jeanelle and Layla are the most amazing teachers and are always working very hard so every student is achieving all their goals and succeeding.

Toured a couple of dance studios in the area. This one had really cramped facilities. Was surprised to see the small classrooms and tiny parents waiting area. You are able to watch your child on a small tv screen in the waiting area.Experienced some unprofessionalism and passive aggressive behaviour from staff…odd behaviour. Unsure as to why this was the case.I would say that if you have no other options in the area due to capacity issues and/or this is the most convenient location this is probably a mediocre option for your child. Probably not great if you want to hone your child’s dancing abilities. I felt like Jacqueline’s dance studio was more supporting and accepting of a child’s developmental stages as well as catering to the different levels of shyness of a child.Overall, middle of the line dance studio but probably not somewhere to send your child long term

I’m NEVER the type of person to do this type of thing… As in write a “bad review” regardless if I had a bad experience or not. As a business owner myself I am aware that not every day is a sunny day and not every experience is going to be the best experience even when you and or your team try their best. I understand sometimes you might catch a business on a bad day. However, due to an experience my child, a teenager and past member of this team encountered... I’m enraged And disgusted by the behaviour of Jeanelle, Layla, and Brad.Unfortunately and for many reasons not particularly due to the studio we decided to venture off in a different direction for the season. My daughter has danced with prodigy and she has grown within prodigy and I will give them and have given them credit for that but unfortunately we felt like it was a time to move forward so that we can achieve goals and aspirations that are set out for my child. This is life and it happens you grow and sometimes you outgrow or you grow within...And that is OK!We never left on bad terms. we wished everyone well. As you can imagine whether you’ve danced with a studio for one season or five, relationships are built. My daughter and fellow teammate wanted to support their friends showcase tonight as they still have a healthy relationship with the girls outside of dance, regardless if it’s the same studio or not. Unfortunately they left feeling unwanted, ignored, and disrespected by the organizers and owners of the studio but most importantly their previous mentors, teachers, friends and confidants. For my child to come home and tell me that she seen her previous dance teacher coming down the hall and said hey Miss Jeanelle to only receive a cold shoulder, a side eye and to be walked past like she didn’t even exist is baffling. To hear my child come home to say she said hello to ms Layla and recieve a cold shoulder, attitude and unwelcoming energy is baffling. To hear she was yelled at by brad for exiting a room because she FELT uncomfortable being there was baffling.Rude remarks such as “they didn’t even pay for a ticket” ?Which yes they did! They’re friends and previous teammates being told to not engage with them after they’ve taken time out of their day to SUPPORT their friends and previous teammates is baffling. This is not the first time but this is the last time and this is my last straw. At the end of the day these girls are kids and you all are adults running a business, one that stems and breeds self esteem and confidence at that. I find it very tasteless and disgusting to receive the treatment and not even directly from you to myself as an adult but to my child! if I can give you any suggestions to help you and your business in the future, it is to be mindful with how you treat people. If there are issues or hard feelings, “the right” thing to do is to address it in a professional manner with adults/the parents and not make children feel uncomfortable or unwanted. that is NEVER OK.
