My husband and I dealt with Pearl and Tina who were both very real, transparent, and kind. They went out of their way to get us the best deal & were not pushy at all. They looked to us for the go ahead on everything beforehand and were able to get us into our new car in 2 days! They also took the time to explain everything we needed to know and answered our questions without making us feel stupid. Highly recommend going to this location for these 2 lovely ladies.

Recently purchased a 4Runner from Clarington Toyota and have been absolutely delighted by the entire experience. Ordered the vehicle back in November and just picked up a couple weeks ago, sooner than expected. Dave was wonderful to deal with. He answered all my questions with ease and spent a good chunk of time with me going over the vehicle features when it arrived. So appreciated! Also the service department has been greatto deal with, as I had some accessories to install beforehand. Would 100% recommend Clarington Toyota to anyone looking for a top quality, reliable vehicle from a great dealership!

The buying experience has felt quite rushed. Which is upsetting given that it is one of the most expensive purchases of my life from a beloved brand.They didn't explain anything if they could avoid it. They didn't mention the exact terms of Toyota Canada's used vehicle program.They didn't even provide the user manual with the vehicle so that you can make a better informed decision during the 7 days, that they didn't mention you have, to change your mind about the vehicle purchase. This might have been fine if they were available to download online, but the links on Toyota's website didn't work either. Almost a month later I'm still waiting to receive the manual.The car was handed over dirty on the exterior with water marks and leaves all over it.The license plate screws were loose.The salesperson didn't explain much about the vehicle at all, not necessarily her fault, but perhaps Toyota should provide them/us with an information sheet to have an adequate tutorial.Not necessarily this dealers fault in particular, but Toyota Canada is actively trying to trick consumers into damaging their cars by telling them misinformation about the maintenance schedule, such as the transmission fluid being alifetime sealed system"

I was extremely pleased with the promptness and level of service provided.Lynn, the service advisor was friendly and helpful upon my arrival. Eric the tech who worked on my vehicles was also very thorough and helpful.I highly recommend this dealership should you be looking for quality service and friendly staff

So I placed an order for a RAV4 Prime back in October 2020, you read that correctly! It became obvious that I would not be getting one in 2021. Then 2022 came and the dreaded chip shortage put a damper on any new car orders. So I scratched 2022 out! Then January 2023 arrived and I got the email that Clarington Toyota would be getting their first allotment!!I want to thank James for the amazing customer service he provided me over these last 30 months. He always responded to my endless emails/texts/phone calls promptly. I always felt that I would be taken care of. There were some moments when it didn’t look like I would be able to wait for the Prime to arrive and James was completely understanding of that and allowed me the option to switch the order to another vehicle.In a time where horror stories are abound about dealerships taking advantage of customers - James was transparent the entire time. Thank you so much for that!!Needless to say, my Prime finally arrived last week, Pearl did the delivery, got me all set up and ready to drive off the lot! Thanks Pearl!! I would also like to thank the shuttle driver (sorry for forgetting your name) for picking me up from the Go Station that rainy morning! The staff at Clarington Toyota were all friendly and warm.For those waiting still - BE PATIENT if you can!! And be KIND!! - It’s not the dealership’s fault! The supply has been so low in comparison to the demand. All of the delays are way out of their hands. But let me tell you, It is totally worth the wait!! I’m so glad I never wavered!! You will not regret it!Clarington Toyota, you’ve done a fine job so far. Looking forward to experiencing the service department when that time comes!

Always good experience for me. Air conditioner rad (hole) replacement. Parts were in hand so quick replacement. Price was maybe a little high but willing to pay for good service, quality parts and treatment.

On June 6, Tuesday, I received an email from my sales representative, Dave Carson, stating that a red 8-passenger Sequoia Limited had arrived at the dealership. Excited by the prospect, my father, brother and I promptly visited the dealership and expressed our intention to purchase the vehicle. We even agreed to the conditions outlined by Dave, which included financing or leasing the vehicle and being residents of Bowmanville or Oshawa.We have worked with Dave about 8 months ago, when we purchased a brand new Toyota Tundra Limited TRD. As a previous customer who has previously purchased a Toyota Tundra from the Clarington dealership without any issues, I had expected a similarly smooth experience this time around. However, the events that transpired during my attempt to purchase a brand new Toyota Sequoia have left me extremely dissatisfied.Upon reaching an agreement and preparing to provide a deposit, Dave informed us that he needed the approval of the General Manager, Matthew Gleed (Matt). It was at this point that we were informed that the dealership had other appointments to consider and, consequently, we would not be able to place a deposit at that time. Matthew has mentioned he was looking for a customer that is willing to trade a car. We were under the impression that the vehicle would be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, which is why we had taken time off work to visit the dealership. Moreover, during our conversation with Dave before leaving the dealership, we specifically mentioned that we would be bringing in our trade-in vehicle on June 7, as per Matthew's instruction. Dave said he will notify used car salesmen Evan that we will be coming the next day to get our car looked at for the trade in. As per Matthew’s words, he informed us that the vehicle would not be sold until the evening of Thursday, June 8th, 2023 after he has reviewed all customers' offers, including ours, which was not honoured. As a customer of Toyota, I was unaware of these added conditions which were being changed to fit Matthew’s personal agenda, such as trading in a vehicle and purchasing warranty with him. I understand that Matthew was trying to obtain the largest profit available, however a successful brand such as Toyota who emphasize in their values, beliefs, vision and ethics should not be neglecting customers to increase their profit.To our surprise and dismay, when my brother visited the Clarington dealership on June 7, with the intention of getting our used car appraised, he discovered that the vehicle had been sold. He attempted to speak with Matthew over the phone but was met with extreme rudeness and was informed that there was nothing that could be done. In the conversation with Matthew, my brother notified him that he would be escalating this matter as it is unfair to us and other customers who may have put in an offer, but Matthew had made the comment “make sure you spell my name right and don’t miss any letter”, implying like no matter what we do Toyota wouldn’t care less.I waiting for response via email, no luck. That’s why I’m posting a review.

I broke down on the 401 on my way back home from visiting my father. Had a full car, including my dog. Clarington Toyota's hospitality was phenomenal! My dog was immediately fetched a bowl of water and stuffed full of treats, which helped put him at ease since the tow truck drive was pretty stressful for him. We spent the next hour and a half playing on the lawn until the car was ready to go! Wonderful, kind, and thoughtful service.
