Capital Salvage

Please read below before you bring Copper electrical wires here...I brought clear plastic bags of Bare Copper wire and Loomex wire...-I asked the girl at the entry the price they offered.. She told me I had to make an account first-After the account registration, I asked the price again, she said I had to take it all to the guy at the scale.-Then they told me I had to put all the wire in the bags, into the bucket. Reluctantly, I asked if we could just weigh it in the clear bag, since it was going to be a nuisance stuffing it in all the bucket... He said No.-Finally, I got to use the scale and hear the price...-He tells me the PRICE IS $1.70/LB, for COPPER, AND minus 5 lbs on the scale because the bucket wieghs 5lbs. I was shocked.-I tell him that's way too low, my Electrical Company gets a MUCH better price, and also that bucket does not weigh 5 lbs. He says 'Take it out of the bucket, and weigh it in the bags then' .. Seriously!? I just tried to do that.They completely gave me the runaround, wasted my time, and ripped me off in the process. In hindsight, it's clear they do this tactic to many others, by getting you to the point you just want to leave your material, salvage whatever $ they offer you, and leave.I've been to several other places in North Van and Vancouver, all better than Capital Salvage.

We just used Capital Salvage to hep dismantle and remove 2 spray booths. Every step of the way from our first phone call to our payment was a very positive experience. We are very happy with their service.

Honestly this is the only place I go for scrapping my metal anymore. 3rd time going there in the past year ,absolutely will never go again basically I was paid less then half of what my scrap was worth ,so that was last time for me

was not happy when I got the runaround at the window when I asked for their prices at the window she had told me that the scale guy had the prices and as soon as I got to him he had said to drop my boxes on the scale and I did but I said I want to know the prices before I sell he had told me I just weigh the metals she gives you prices and I went back asked why she was giving me the run around and she gave me no answer (shady) lucky for them I was in a rush and I came in with hard brass and #2 copper wasn't happy with the quote felt I was low balled but I took the money and left but don't reccomend this place based on their unfair pricesthis happened dec.10.2022

Very shady vibe on my second visit to Capital Salvage. This time I came with a lot more metals that I've come across at my job. I admit that I wasn't very sure how to ask for a quote for how much it was worth but I put everything on the scale and it came up to 12.35. The weirdest part was when the guy tried to talk me out of putting a metal rod on the scale. I literally just said It's metal. It can be melted down." I couldn't believe that I actually said those words to a guy who works at a place like this. So I get to the cash out and he gives me a receipt and 85 cents and literally just closes the window and pulls a disappearing act. The guy was very rude(operators name on the receipt was Sakshi). I wouldn't recommend anyone
