Stirling Lodge

Sorry to have to write this review but our meal was very disappointing and extremely overpriced. I had high hopes after reading the reviews. I ordered the Tilapia and it was plain white fish with dab of pesto, not a lot of flavour, served with over cooked plain white rice and a spoonful of corn (frozen, not even fresh in season vegetable). Bland. My partner got the Shrimp Gnocchi and could not finish it because the sauce was intolerably oily.

I probably been at the lodge about a dozen times over the years. Fishing's always great and the food is always spot on. I highly recommend. Very reasonably priced too

Fish and chips in the post and beam restaurant were excellent (haddock was tender and moist). Venue was a little dimly lit for my ‘druthers though

Food was amazing and desserts are the best. Hunter is very good at serving. Ruby your butterscotch pie is to die for.

We went for for Sunday night supper.food was good. Properly cooked and a decent price. Service was excellent.It's a long way from Ottawa though, so unless you are already at or planning to stop at Kilborns or on your way to Kingston through Smiths Falls it is tough to justify the trip right now..

Great staffFrom calling and booking to signing in and eating at the restaurant everyone was cheerful and helpfulGreat roomroom with 2 single beds tv wifi a/cbeds were very comfortable and the bathroom exceptionally clean with a shower with good pressure and consistent temperature.Great foodbreakfast lunch and dinner included in price.. so was expecting mediocre food choices...WRONG you get to pick off the regular menu which has enough choices and was cooked perfectly (nailed my 10oz strip loin medium rare).Great priceespecially when you factor in food the price was well worth it. They also have boat rentals for a great price.plus.Have booked again for end of september (sadly they close until next year after last weekend of sept.) .. 4 people trip and will take out one of their boats this time.

Stopped in on a whim with my daughter for dinner. We both had the fish & chips and it was delicious. My daughter said they were the best fries she’s ever had. Yummy carrot cake for dessert too and wonderful, friendly service from Kasia. Really pretty spot out on the patio. 5/5 recommend!!

A neat little place. Nice service, good food. If eating outside, check your chair before you sit down. They watered the plants and didn't dry off the chairs!!!
