Petland Fort Saskatchewan

I always go to these large pet shops expecting the worst. Petland has been a wonderful change in how shops (especially aquarium shops) can actually be. I am an Aquarist and a dog owner. I am very critical of the conditions in any Aquarium shop. The manager of the aquarium area is doing an excellent job and it is a pleasure to be able to deal with her. The entire staff seems cheerful and informative. All of them are interested in things you may know that will help them be effective. I love the store and enjoy shopping there. Make sure you take advantage of Seniors Day, last Thursday of every month.

Amazing! Wonderful kind staff that are very helpful. When they do not answer they seek it out for you. I normally do not like big box pet stores but this one felt very much like a place I will be back too for my pet care needs!!

Called Petland today and got very very poor service by the front cashier named Kim. She was very rude and did not give great customer service at all. Said that I called about 10 times when i called only twice!! Then had the decency to hang up on my boyfriend for my boyfriend calling and asking them to put a small jar of tropical fish flakes at the cash and was rudely helped. On another note, I'm Giving Jaron a very good customer service experience. He was very helpful to get me to order my tank light. His customer service was exceptional, great manners, very nice, and greeted me with a smile when I had my inquiry. The cab driver that i had to go pick up the fish food had the same experience with Kim, she was rude and ignorant to him as well and all he was doing was getting my fish food.

Absolutely terrible reptile managers. The animals are going to die here. Their bearded dragons are glass surfing, one of them has its chin all shredded from glass surfing. It's stressed and is going to die. Also the misinformation they have and give is beyond me. They say that the best substrate for a ball python is aspen which is extremely toxic to snakes. Also the temperatures are wrong and the enclosure is far too small for the snake they carry. It disgusts me and if I could buy all their reptiles to give them the life they deserve I would. The waterbottle cap as a water dish for their scorpion is absolutely disgusting. If I could give 0 stars I would. I hope that you guys take these reviews into great consideration.

I came in from out of town to buy some items for my leopard gecko, stopped to look at the reptiles they had as well. They take way better care of their lizards here than the Cold Lake PetLand does. Knowledgeable, helpful staff, good prices, and really good selection for reptile accessories. If I’m ever back in Fort Saskatchewan I will absolutely be stopping in again!

Such a great place to shop or just stop in to see the animals. All staff are absolutely great and friendly. Definitely will be shopping here for my animals.

It was my first time at this particular location, and I didn't hesitate to select 5 stars for this review. All 3 lady staff (at the reptile, birds and small pets section) were so friendly and professional, and they all contributed to make it such a perfect shopping/browsing experience for my niece, sister and myself. It's a pity that I didn't ask for their names.

It's a beautiful, well organized, quality store. We were very impressed. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The pets they have all look very well cared for and they require you to fill out a questionnaire to make sure you are up to the responsibility of caring for the bird, hamster, rabbit etc. before letting you purchase them. If you find you can't handle the pet they will be happy to have you surrender them back to them and they will find them another home. Great pet products as well.

Went in today with the intention of just buying fish. Decided to buy a whole new tank and decorations to accommodate the types of fish i wanted. Multiple times staffed walked by me as i stood by their please wait sign in their fish section, not one of them asked if they could help me or let me know they would get to me soon. One girl was obviously busy with another customer but another staff would walk past me to help someone else twice, with other staff mi gling around the store and by the tills. I waited in the section for about 30 minutes of being ignored by the staff before finally deciding that they obviously didnt want my buisness returned the tank to the pile and left.

Today we went in to grab a collar for my sons cat. My son was nervous about buying treats but wanted more information. The lady went above and beyond to tell us all that she knew and was extremely helpful. The store is always clean and the staff are so friendly/outgoing. I highly recommend a shopping trip here!
