China King Buffet Restaurant
I went to China King a couple days ago with my boyfriend. We each took a couple bites, the food was not fresh. It was all dry and cold. When we went to the cash to say we were not satisfied she went to look at out plates to see how much we ate, did not apologize or say anything about the quality of the food but did say she would only charge us for one meal. I said no because when you go to a restaurant you expect to get hot, fresh food, not something that has been sitting there for some time. Not satisfied, but at least she only wanted to charge for one meal even though she was not nice about it.

It’s okay for the price ! Would not say the best Chinese food in Charlottetown. But if you are hungry and want to eat a lot , this is buffet you should visit . You get what you pay for .

Ate here back in August 2017 on a bus tour visiting PEI. Did not enjoy their buffet. Little food choice, salty, and dry. The only exception were their desserts: cheese cakes and this wonton cheese (strange but delicious). Reason I gave a 2-star was the hostess attitude: I didn’t like the way the hostess and waitress handled my requests. I even asked for their business card and the pretty lady gave me a nasty look – which I have no comment. This is the ONLY occasion I experienced hostility in PEI. The town folks however are a wonderful kind people!

Went here with my boyfriend Dec 13. We were surprised by the amount of selection in the buffet but then very quickly disappointed by quality.. The rice was very dry and over-spiced and the sushi was so bad that my boyfriend actually gagged and had to spit it into his napkin...Not sure if the heat source for the mussels wasn’t working while we were there but they were extremely cold, grey, and shriveled in the shell. I wouldn’t recommend it, but atleast we had a good laugh & the setting was nice!!

Very nice man who seemed to be the only one on the floor, maybe the owner? In any regard he was nice and gave great service but sadly the food was not quite as good. The occasional dish was ok but I did find some of the sauces a little to sweet and the sushi was mostly rice . Overall an average small townish " Chinese buffet at a reasonable price."

Can be a hit or miss. It was great then something changed and the food was terrible for almost 2 years. We recently gave it another shot and have been pleasantly surprised the last couple of times. Definitely the best, biggest selection for chinese buffets on PEI. Kimchi is awesome. A bit pricey especially on Sundays. Rating them just okay" but if they keep up the current standards I'd give them another star."

I would offer zero stars. The waiter showed me to my table and I never saw him again. Glass stayed empty. Food was horrible. The veggie lo mien actually tasted like dirt. The only good thing was the icecream. Icecream was fantastic. $15.99 is a steep price to pay for a cup of icecream!

The food is never got, all the sauces are thick and gloppy. It's either cold, dried up , left sitting all day and truly barely eatable. Service is as bad as the food. Save your money eat a peanut butter sandwich it will taste better

The buffet is cheap and delicious, and it's usually not very busy if you don't go at peak hours. A good spot to go to if you're starving and want a bit of everything to eat. My favorite is the honey chicken, though the butter potatoes are a close second.

For the price it was a very large selection of food. They had the classics for a Canadian Chinese buffet. Lots of good flavours, some times excessively sweet, sometimes to salty. Pretty much the quintessential Chinese buffet. Unfortunately the wonton soup was very unappetizing. Aside from that thought it is a very nice attractive restaurant.
