I've moved here in October, the move went easy and fast, they went through the building amenities and gave me a lovely welcome home package. So far, my experience is great, I love that it is pet friendly, I don't hear any of my neighbors and I have an incredible view of Gatineau town / Ottawa.

The last 2 reviews are not true. The fact that there are 2 random 5 star reviews within 24 hours just proves that they're fake. Same thing goes for the other recent reviews in the past 4 months. Building management knows that there is a BAD cockroach issue in the building but rather than addressing it they are asking tenants to add fake good" reviews on Google and other rental sites and using free rent as an incentive. That just goes to show you how messed up their priorities are. Instead of reading the fake reviews on Google

DO NOT COME HERE!This place is poorly managed, renting in this place was a very bad decision. The whole building is FULL of cockroaches, they are everywhere, it is so disgusting.. also the balcony renovation is taking more than a year now and still. Very loud noise during the whole day..

Intercom does not work for most apartments but is extremely close to where I work (place de portage). Building is well kept for the most part. Any issues I've had were resolved immediately.Rental office is really nice and easy to deal with.Would really appreciate the intercom to work but otherwise everything else is great. Been here for about a year now

Who is the winner of review contest and when is it going to be announced.Your communication in premises said 1 month free rent will be applied towards Jan rent, shall we wait for a result of contest or pay the rent, as the due date is always 7th of month. Why are your communications not clear or confusing?

I lived here for four years and have to admit management wasn't great for the first year. However, when the new management came in, repairs, landscaping, and other work on the building was immediately done and now the grounds are in great condition. Never any issues with bugs or pests. Got repairs done in a timely manner. Only issue I had was a couple of unreasonable noise complaints from tennants below our unit. The parking situation isn't great for visitors since tennants are constantly taking the spots but management is thankfully working actively on towing unauthorized vehicles now so hopefully people will get the idea! All in all, with the river, pubs, grocery stores, bus stops, and old Hull so close, you can't go wrong for the price! Highly recommend!

I have to say that a lot of these ratings are far from the truth. Most people only post reviews if they have had bad experiences so think about the amount of people who have had amazing time at Le Faubourg de L'ille. I have to say the management team and specifically Johanne the building manager have been above extraordinary about how they treat tenants and the building. I have never been treated better when it comes to being a little late on rent. The units are freshly renovated, I haven't seen a roach in 3 years and they proactively address issues with the building to make it better(ie. New patios). I would highly recommend coming for a visit to see the apartments(post covid) and I can assure you it's a great place to live. Half the price of downtown Ottawa and only a 20 minute walk to the Parliament building.

I have been here for two years, the first year was good, but the next year, a new administration came, and I have not seen a worse administration.

honestly worst mistake i ever made was ignoring the reviews and moving into this building.. i lived here for a year and no exaggeration i would see at least 2-3 cockroaches a day. i like my place clean and well kept and no matter how much i cleaned my counters the roaches would appear. what really set me off was when i started seeing roaches in my bed. i decided to move out of this place and unfortunately even with all the precautions i took the roaches followed me to my new building. I had sent an email to the landlords at faubourg about them covering the cost to exterminate the roaches in my new apartment and they refused to take any responsibility for it. now i have to pay out of my pocket for a problem that faubourg de l’ile is responsible for. this building should be torn down cause even with weekly exterminations the roach problem persists … very disappointed with the lack of accountability this building has. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. also they are charging WAY too much rent for what this dump is worth .

Indeed ! A very peaceful ambiance when you enter the building.Surrounding with many scenic views of a beautiful bridge of Ottawa river, ultimate construction of parliament building and many more beautiful cultural buildings around you.Easy availability of transportation, superstore like Walmart,Canadian tire, Metro plus,Dollarama and many farm markets near you within few kilometres of distance.Fresh breath everyday and for that i am thankful for the maintance staff, who constantly work hard to keep building clean and safe.kids friendly staff,I still remember the day, when my 3 year old daughter went to the swimming pool and slipped, within a second ,first aid staff rushed towards us to help and relaxed her.I really admire and thankful for them.We moved here from last few months but I always feel safe and secure. Its super sanitised building. In the time of COVID-19 building has provided all safety measures and step to step instructions of covid precautions all the time.like i never find empty sanitizer bottle at the door as i find many place when i go outside.helpful staff to help whenever we need them. Building is well maintained 24 hours inside outside.good building who save your pockets as rent also affordable. I am very happy to live here. Its my home ❤️
