CYDC Basketball

CYDC changed my daughter’s life. She came into the league in September with so much anxiety from a challenging family experience. The coaches nurtured her, were patient with her, encouraged her and challenged her. She ended the season so full of confidence and joy. It spilled out into all other areas of her life.Adolescent life is hard. Our kids need safe places that boost their confidence, challenge their abilities and ignite their passions. CYDC provides that for their players.

CYDC has been great for my son. He has not only leaned about basketball but coach LJ has taught him about discipline, how to have a work ethic and to be a part of a community. Anita is well organized, responsive and patient with my questions. She is also very kind. She took the time to share some tips to help my son with his growing pains which was so helpful! Overall a great club and community.

I have been blessed enough to not only play in the program but also be apart of the coaching staff. I highly recommend this program as it has helped me develop the skills needed to play basketball at an elite level in University. CYDC has helped me become a better basketball player but most importantly the coaches in the program have helped me grow off the court.

We are new to city club ball and had no idea what to expect. Our son moved 10 hours south to play competitive ball and he found it here at CYDC. Our son has loved the experience and has made new friendships. Coach John defends his players to the core and I as a parent, I sure appreciate that. The experience that has been shown and given to our son is greatly appreciated. He has improved his game by leaps. This experience has been a great one. Thank you!

CYDC is the most amazing club.They really care about what’s happening with your child on and off the court. It’s an amazing thing to find - a place where people genuinely care about you and yours, AND they do all this while teaching skills and making basketball fun!! A fantastic basketball club!!!!

I have been a part of the CYDC family for many years now, and I can say with certainty that it is one of the most welcoming and inclusive clubs to be a part of. The coaches and other players are always supportive and encouraging, and make a real effort to ensure that everyone feels included and valued. What I appreciate most about this club is that they give every player a chance to excel and be a leader. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, the coaches will work with you to help you improve your basketball IQ and skillset. Coaches don't just focus on the advanced players, but rather recognize and celebrate the contributions of all players, no matter their level of experience. For CYDC It's not just about the game of basketball, but also about building relationships and supporting each other both on and off the court.

I have been a part of the CYDC organization as a player and now a coach for the past 11 years. This club has attributed to my growth as an athlete on the court and a person off the court tremendously. CYDC’s dedication to consistent player development and teaching the game the right way are just a few of the many things that set this club apart from the rest. Our coaches are committed to not only helping improve player ability, but stressing the importance of taking care of your mental and physical health as well. We do our best to provide a safe atmosphere in the gym for all players to flourish and reach their highest potential, all while having fun. I would definitely recommend CYDC to anyone seeking a supportive and inclusive community to play basketball in. I am incredibly grateful for the many opportunities, experiences, and relationships that this club has provided me over the years and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! I had the opportunity to play for CYDC for four years and watch my brothers and sister play for the last 10 years! The coaches are motivating and hardworking and the organization truly cares for its players. It taught me a lot of skills for both basketball and life. It was more than a club, it was a family- and it still is!

My son has been a member of CYDC for over 3 years. We are very pleased with the coaching and organization of the club. They push the kids when necessary and coaches are always available for help and guidance. My son has progressed from not knowing how to play to now being confident on the court. Very pleased with his progress.

CYDC has been absolutely amazing for my son over the past 3 years. He loves the coaches. They not only teach the kids the fundamentals of the game they teach them how to be good teammates, good winners (and losers) and respectful competitors all while providing them with a good workout. They have been a wonderful organization to deal with all through Covid keeping us posted of the ever-changing landscape and health guidelines. My son is a Panther for life!!
