The Courtyards are a beautiful facility. Here are some pros and cons to consider for those searching for the right place to live.The pros are: lovely residents, fun activities and well decorated common areas.The cons are: mediocre food, limited and shared public washer and dryer access, lower quality finishes in units, cupboard height not senior friendly (too high), heat adjustment location not senior friendly (by the floor), refrigerator not senior friendly (low), lack of fresh fruit access for residents, cold dining room in the winter.Expect extra charges if you require modifications to your unit. For instance, if you can't have carpeting because of pulmonary disease, you will be charged for the change to flooring. If you can't reach your cabinets, you will be charged to bring them down to your level.

Brightwater offers more levels of care than anywhere else, so they were able to provide all of the services that Dad needed as his health changed. The building looks, and is run, like a 5-star hotel. Their full-time activities staff provides a variety of activities to suit all abilities. Their food (quality and selection) is outstanding. The staff goes out of their way to care for (and pamper!) their residents.
