Shoppers Drug Mart

Please get cameras on every angle. Stop making everyone’s shopping experience an annoying experience with a lot of unnecessary surveillance by staff. I needed to shop more but I just wanted to leave.Please note, only when I am extremely happy or mad that I leave a review.PS: I understand that security guy was only doing his job based on the instructions management provided, my complaints is not against any staff but the management (ie. The Owner).UPDATE: Last night I was there for the deal, “30k points for $100 spent on cosmetic”, I was very pleased with the staff, especially Bita. I didn’t see the security guy, I hope he didn’t get fired. Once again, and I cannot stress this enough, my complain is not against him or any staff, so please don’t fire anyone over my review. My suggestion was only to install more cameras, so that surveillance can still be done, but in more discreet and proper manner, that’s all. Thank you.

I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for the last 7years and it seems year after year, the techs just care less and less. Often at the counter they avoid eye contact and pretend to be busy. You really have to flag them for service. I spoke to one of the pharmacy techs with a Filipino accent at 4:40pm Friday for a refill and she informed me I need to contact my doctor. In all my previous experiences, they offered to contact my MD for a refill. I requested they contact my MD similar to all the previous times. She responded “ehhhh sure”. The communication and attitude was very unprofessional and creates barriers for patients to access medications.On the other hand, I’ve always had a very good experience with the pharmacists who are all very attentive, knowledgable and happy to help, I appreciate that.

Horrible customer service. They don't keep their promises that they literally have printed on the wall behind them. They clearly don't know your medical history because they handed me out some older prescription I had on file, without me requesting it, and now they won't take it back (after they charged me for it !!). I requested a refund and their solution was to take back the pills without refunding me! What a joke of a solution. So to give back the pills with no resolution and pay for it?! Petty and inattentive pharmacists!

I visit this location often to purchase makeup and skincare. I really am impressed with the representative that overlooks the beauty section of the store. She has great customer service and is extremely friendly. ☺However, as a woman of colour I'm disgusted by the fact that the security guards are always racially profiling me, and stalking me throughout the store. This is highly discriminative, unacceptable and it needs to stop.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience here today. My friends and I entered the cosmetics section and were immediately thrown off by the lack of greeting and support received, even though the cosmetician was stationed right at the entrance and made eye contact with us. While we were shopping for makeup products, the cosmetician and security guard closely followed us throughout the aisles. Not once did she approach us to provide any kind of support. We felt extremely uncomfortable so once we selected our items, we headed over to self checkout. This is where it gets even more weird. 3 employees barrelled towards us, cornering us at self checkout. 1 employee kept insisting that we cancel our transaction and head back to cosmetics to complete it. This made absolutely no sense as we already scanned everything and were ready to pay our bill of over $150 worth of makeup.To be really frank, I'm extremely FRUSTRATED. It's especially disgusting as we believe we were profiled due to all 3 of us wearing the hijab. This store is located in a large BIPOC community so I was stupefied by the profiling and rude treatment. Hope the store manager can put an end to the disgusting behaviour of their employees.

Unfortunately, I have had to delete my Earlier review due to drastic changes at this location.I still stand on my previous review that this is a good location. They have a good variety of stuff and relatively OK Deals compared to other shoppers. They are still extremely short staffed at this location. However, the staff has always been polite and willing to help at any time.Shoppers drug Mart at this location needs to really look into their security training and profiling training. I understand they’re trying to keep the store safe and the location can be a little sketchy so they have to be on alert.I was recently at this location, when suddenly, I was locked in the line of vision of a security guards, and he seem to have followed me while talking on a headpiece, it was really uncomfortable. The security guard was not even discreet about it. He kept lingering and trying to figure out what I had or what I was doing, literally from the seconds I entering the store.Please, shoppers drug Mart. This location can already be questionable. I don’t need to feel unsafe trying to find something in a store in the city of Toronto with everything that’s already is going on.

Just had the worst experience at this particular shoppers drug mart with the employee named S Samira. She was rude as hell, maybe irritated just because we didn’t need the perfumes may be and wanted to get the best offers possible and redeem our points. We asked her to cash us out and it seemed as if she was doing us a favour and when we asked her about the redemption points, she was rude as hell in explaining us the redemption offer and was trying to make a point that she knows her job and we were maybe not spending enough according to her. we were really patient and were not interested in spoiling our day. Some positive vibes to this employee because she needs it. We spent $150 which according to her was not sufficient. She cannot handle the pressure and is not good at multi tasking either. Rude and annoyed as hell. I am a regular at this location and live in the same building as hell but today was my worst experience.

Pharmacist are really rude told me its gonna take my medication to make ready 15 minutes after waiting the time it wasn’t ready I refuse to buy from them wanted to try different location ask for my prescription back she’s telling me can’t return my prescription ending arguing she return copy of prescription which is not going to work different location and also didn’t I have to go doctor again to get new prescription this much hassle I did cause of her behaviour . Not going anymore they’re also not gonna recommend my family and friends.

This particular Shoppers is located right next to my house, you can imagine how often I visit here. However, today I have had such an awful experience with the cosmetics department staff. I usually go in the morning and the ladies are wonderful and always so kind...Today my evening trip made me feel like I was stealing something...absolutely embarrassing and out of line....the female employee followed me the entire time I was there until I eventually left because later security came...it was so embarrassing...unbelievable experience....spend hundreds at this location especially during the holidays. Disappointing experience.

Just had the worst experience with my friends at this location, which is my regular location. Every time I go in there I’m looked at as if I’m about to steal something and today was no different. Me and my friends came in to buy quite a bit of makeup and were watched by the employee in the cosmetics section the ENTIRE time. She was making it so obvious she was watching us and we felt so uncomfortable. She begins talking on the phone while she’s looking at us. We were just looking at makeup trying to decide what to get. The security guard was also watching us as soon as we entered the store. Eventually we go to self checkout to purchase the items and right as we’re paying three or four employees come barreling towards us asking if we’d like to go pay at cosmetics so we can get free samples. We’re about to pay and aren’t spending $150 worth of makeup for the samples so we politely decline her offer. Same employee responds saying because we’re getting a lot of makeup we could use the samples while looking at our screen for self checkout. Again we decline. And this entire time we’re still being watched. And why are so many employees coming to us? I really don’t understand. Is it our hijabs that are eliciting these reactions? It was so uncomfortable. I can’t find it in myself to stop coming here but I seriously hope they stop treating the poc around here like we’re criminals. It’s -and I can’t stress this enough- Uncomfortable!!
