FYidoctors - Burnaby

I want to preface this by saying all the doctors are extremely nice and has always made me feel comfortable during the eye exams.I mostly had a problem with the individual who was discussing glasses prices with me. The moment I gave them my prescription, they reacted with a shocked expression, exclaiming Oh my god! Your prescription is so high." I ignored it at first but they kept commenting on it saying thing like "I have never seen a prescription this high before." I found it a bit rude and shameful as I have never had someone comment like that before on my prescription. I am also very well aware that I have high myopia and astigmatism

I had a wonderful experience with Sue! She was super knowledgeable and patient in helping me find the right frames that fit my face. Will definitely refer all my friends to see her!

All the staff are wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful. We have been coming here for years and will definitely continue!

Susan is such a great person to lead you through the optics of glasses.Francisco is another one of their great staff.The optometrists have always been top notch , but the staff takes this clinic to the top

I'm really blown away at the professionalism at the FYidoctors here in Burnaby. I took my mom to see Dr. Jessica Ng, and she talked very sweetly and calmly to my mother who's in her 80's. My mom hasn't had anyone see her eyes in easily over 7 years. My mom has just been quietly doing nothing about her fading vision. My mom is also Asian, and having Dr. Ng speak Cantonese to mom was very helpful. I don't speak any Chinese, so she was still able to translate and let me know what was happening. So now, she's helped to follow-up and find a specialist for my mom's cataracts which needs to be treated. I usually don't give out 5 star reviews. But this FYidoctors blows me away. Not even my optometrists give me the time and extra care that my mom has gotten here. I'm incredibly impressed. All I can say is Thank-you so much for caring and doing an amazing job! I know my mom is really lucky to be in such good hands.

My mom purchased a pair of glasses here in November 2022. After that she need to exchange another new glasses, so this shop should refund $130 in cash to her (as she paid in cash). Unfortunately, we were waiting for over 4 months; that we still haven't receive the cheque refund yet!As a customer point of view, this is totally unacceptable!

I had previously had my tear ducts opened at FYI on Granville and needed it done again but the location is no longer there. I called this office to see if I could have it done there. The person that answered my call said it would be 150.00 for a consultation and 400.00 for the procedure. I was shocked at the cost and told him I only had to pay 45.00 previously and he replied with well go back there then. Obviously I didn't go there and have found another FYI that was willing to accommodate me for a fee of 50.00.

Had my first eye exam/visit since 2018, and feel very pleased and comforted by having one of the most pleasant experiences ever with Dr. Angela Hao - knowledgeable and kind and thorough (we did a procedure twice for accuracy). She knew about how my current medical prescription and diagnosis on another health issue affected my vision and played it safe In not issuing a prescription as my condition may still change over three months! The nice reception Liz called as I was running late trying to cross Hastings street in Burnaby and was gracious as a host in making sure it was all ok and on time. Fantastic!

I recently visited FYI doctors in this location for an eye exam and was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and expertise. Dr. Hao conducted a comprehensive eye exam, taking the time to explain the results and answer all of my questions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping me select the right frames and lenses for my needs. The whole experience was seamless and pleasant. I highly recommend this store for their top-notch eye care services and fashionable eyewear selection!
