They have a condo board for some properties off Voyager Way, the board is made up of the owner and his brother. They do not respond to inquiries, they do not maintain their private roads but expect the monthly condo fees to be paid. Nothing but negative experiences with this group, they have ignored safety concerns due to lack of maintenance on their roads. They do not have the decency to return calls or emails, avoid at all costs. 1 star is too high of a rating.

Recently moved into their renovated building on Dutch Village and couldn't be happier! Luke Allen, my leasing agent, was very friendly, professional, and efficient. He really helped make a stressful time easy for me. Building is well kept, maintained and clean. Would recommend when looking for a place to rent!

This past weekend, we inquired on a Town House in the Shiraz Gardens Over 55 area, in Hammonds Plains. We contacted a “rep” by the name of Arvin. We asked whether there were any end units available. He indicated yes, there was at least one end unit available. We made an appointment to view the unit on Nov 9th. Prior to leaving Amherst, which is at least a 2 hour drive to Halifax, I confirmed again whether he had an end unit available. He confirmed, yes there are end units available. We made the trip and arrived early to the building site. When we arrived we noticed a massive hydro line (main transfer line) going right behind the houses. Prior to our meeting time, I contacted him and told him unless he has a unit that is far away from the Hydro line, we are not interested. He confirmed yes there were units closer to the road and away from the hydro line. Just before we were to meet, he called and indicated that the only two end units available were directly under the major Hydro lines and that we could go onto a waiting list, in case any of the other units open up.This “rep” (I don’t want to use gent), knew well in advance of us driving 2 hours to view the “end” unit, that they were directly near a major electrical line, and that no one else wanted these units as well. Rather than being honest and transparent, he hid the fact until we called him out and then he admitted the only units (for March 2022) were directly under the hydro lines. Very unprofessional. If this is how they behave before you are a customer, it must be an extremely poor experience once they have you as a tenant.

I personally found my renting experience at 3670 Dutch Village easy, and contrary to reviews I’ve read, Neyaz was (and is) always professional, responsive & accommodating. I also read horrible reviews about the previous residents being effected by renovictions, but unfortunately that’s how rental businesses work. It just sucks that it was during covid and they didn’t get much notice.There are only 3 downsides to this building imo. First is the never ending noise. Not counting the ongoing construction, the motorcycle cacophony from the clubhouse out back is super annoying during warmer months. Same for the bar noise across the street. Traffic is busy and loud, especially with open windows. Winter is much better, especially in the evenings, no revving bikes or outside bar/drinking revelry late at night. Walls are surprisingly thin and the sketchy elevator makes crazy noise at every bounce (if you are renting on the bad side of it). All day and most of the night-Grrrr. Rumour has it there is a new one being built. Second downside is that the dryer vents INSIDE your apartment. Its already 28-30 during summer days so drying even an occasional load of laundry gets very uncomfortable. Third is also pretty minor, but there’s just not a lot of storage. Small closets, no linen closet, micro bath vanity and not a lot of kitchen cupboards. Nothing that a good purge, buying storage shelving units & rollaways can’t fix though. No balconies and the much older windows unfortunately have a frozen, condensation in them all winter.Location is convenient. Very walkable. Great bus access when you don’t feel like driving. Great open concept. Great views (when the windows are clear). Appliances (excluding the inside venting part) are awesome. Wired for Bell Fibe. Water pressure is okay. Hot water is always hot. We lost access to our parking lot but people seem to not get ticketed parking all day in the 1 hour spots in front of building. Downside of that, if you are getting a delivery or if you need to park quickly to run somewhere quick up stairs, there is never any available place to park. It’s still dusty everyday (just sweep twice a day to keep up with construction dust) and roof repairs(or whatever they’re doing up there) is a nuisance (only if you’re on top floor though). That should eventually diminish when renovations and repairs are complete.All in all (if you are not a light sleeper) this is a nice place to live. It will be even nicer when all the noisy renovations are done and it reaches its potential. Once you get past the soon to be fixed sketchy lobby, halls, elevator and the newfirst come first serve, use extreme caution parking it’s a nice place to live.Edit- got a notice today that they are moving our included parking from the attached lot to a “first come first serve, use extreme caution” lot a at Boss Plaza down the street.

Our leasing agent Luke Allen was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He was very educated on both the building and surrounding community and instilled confidence in us from the start. He responded to my initial message within minutes and was able to get us in for a viewing that same day. The attention he paid to detail while expediting the transaction was invaluable as we were under the gun to find a place. The application process was seamless from front to back and Luke made it headache free. I would absolutely work with Luke again and recommend him to anyone looking for a new home.
