The Dog Wash

Went to the Dog Wash for the first time and very happy with their services! The staff were really friendly, my dog’s cut is perfect, they were true to the timing she’d be there; oh and as a little bonus she smells amazing. Switching groomers can be a bit nerve wracking so wanted to give some credit where credits due! Will definitely be back.

Called them last week asking for an appointment—knowing this is an extremely busy time, I expected to get an appointment in a month. They called me yesterday and squeezed me in same day! My little guy was all groomed and lovely a few hours later and they even sent him home wearing a festive tie which I only realized once we got into the car! So cute and such a sweet bonus.He looks and smells fantastic and they were so pleasant and kind. They treat the pups so well. My guy is pleased to be their only “Jeff”! Thanks Dog Wash team!

To clarify it's great to see I am still being spoken about given I know my worth now and the dog wash definitely did not. You still continue to use Palmolive on the dogs and it's disgusting to see the abuse you put them through. It's so sad to see you are still stuck in your lies and have nothing better to do in your life then fill this void of loneliness with being horrible to other people.It's truly disheartening I am so glad I left when I did because the dogs and employees deserve so much more. Thanks to the weekend crew for making our wooly husky clean and beautiful! We know he isn't an easy dog. He's full of energy and strong. His undercoat is dense and challenging to work with, even with regular undercoat raking and slicker brushing at home. After his appointment, he looks much better than expected!

We love bringing our cat here! We take him here every two months for the full wash and hair cut and are more than pleased every time. They take such good care of him and they give him the best lions cut in the city! Definitely recommend :)

On behalf of Karen and Bella. Incident in April 15th.Upon reading your response. One of the things I notice is that you don’t take responsibility for any wrongdoing that occurred under your watch. You are a business owner, and your first line of defense to any negative comment to your business is to attack, which is absolutely unprofessional.I love how you knew what the conversation was about when you were not the one I dealt with when I checked my dog in. Common courtesy would have been for you to call me. That would have taken 10 seconds for me to understand the situation. But instead, you chose to shave my dog down to the skin. My hope is that you would have treated my dog better. Your response to this matter is appalling.I WILL find myself a new groomer. And I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I hope for you and your customers' sake (present and future) that you learn respect and accountability. In this, you are lacking. But I guess it's like they say. On Saturday April 15th, 2023, I took my dog for grooming to The Dog Wash, located at 1500 Royal York Rd. Unit 38. Upon arrival, I explained to the groomer what I was looking for, including showing her a picture of the style I expected. Bella has been growing her hair for months now, which allowed her to have amazing volume. I wanted a cut that represented her volume. I was told that the process would take 3 hours to complete. We left Bella and went on our way. When we arrived to pick her up, we were surprised to see what was done. Bella was bald!! I was shocked and asked what happened. The groomer explained that because Bella's hair was matted, they had to go low. Keep this in mind;I brush Bella's hair twice a day! And yes, her hair is not thick, just soft. I was surprised that they decided, on their own, to shave my pup! No phone call to state the obvious and ask if they should resume. That is just common courtesy. Clearly they do not have the right equipment to deal with this issue. I was livid!! But my response was measured as I really did not want to make a scene or argue. But when I went home and my husband saw Bella, his immediate response was, What did they do?". I immediately broke down crying! When I explained

I've taken my 2 bernedoodles to the Dog Wash twice, and so far so good. The first time was for bath and tidy grooms and the second time was for full grooms. The staff members who interacted with me were very polite and friendly. My pups looked, felt and smelled great after their appointments. My pups seemed comfortable there, from what I could tell. My little one can be quite anxious, but she seemed to be fine there. They take a lot of dogs at once. Some people might not like that, but it was not a problem for me. My pups love being around other dogs. I'm glad that the Dog Wash staff folks take both of my pups at once, so that it is just one dropoff and pickup for the grooms. We just moved to the neighbourhood. My dogs loved their previous groomer and I'm glad we have found one we like here too.
