Went there on a Thursday a few minutes after the doors opened and they had quite a few tables left (no queue). They serve no food but they had some snacks. Comics were really good!

Make sure you get there early to guarantee a seat. Perfect for a date or night out with friends. Great wee bar there too. Red Raw for only a fiver on Tuesdays so you canny grumble at that.Funniest night I've had in a while, will definitely be back!

If you've never been its worth the visit. Lots of great comedy talent, you will always be close to the action. Alcohol nice as well prices doable. Whats not to like.

We all had a brilliant night!! Staff enabled 2 disabled persons to attend the event and we're very attentive themselves. We thought the acts were brave and brilliant and there was a really good vibe all round. Should so love to attend again one day (we're from the south). Thank you for a cracking night.xx

Incredible value for money at The Stand. Arrive early to have a choice of seating. Bar is well staffed and moves quickly. Seating is compact but not overdone. It’s a great night out and handy for local pre and post drink options.

Had a fantastic night here with the compete Stuart and 4 different acts. They were all funny with the headliner being JJ Whitehead. Fantastic night wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this for a great night out.

A good night out. A bit hit and miss with the acts but 4 comedians and a bit by the MC is well worth the £15. Decent atmosphere with friendly staff (and plenty of them). Bar prices were very reasonable with small selection but decent beer.

Great night on a Friday. Acts were all class and a bargain really at £15 a ticket for 4 acts and a hilarious compere. So much funnier being there in person rather than watching stand-up on the telly due to the atmosphere. Bit cramped so get in early to get a table as we were sat at the back and squeezed in next to strangers where our legs were basically touching! Hecklers & chatterboxes dealt embarrassed very quickly by the audience and acts!Bar reasonably priced for a venue (£5 a pint - shame that this is becoming more common!) with quite a eclectic choice of drinks including a house lager literally called 'Lager'.Staff very friendly including security. Decent toilet facilities too.Definitely will be back if I get the chance.
