Shoppers Drug Mart

After many many screw ups filling prescriptions I'm pulling the plug on these guys. The last fiasco left me without my meds for two days after they initially underfilled my prescription. I ran out earlier and it took two trips to the store, about half an hour on the phone and a lot of back and forth haggling about it when it clearly stated on the bottle 51/100. This was heart meds, not narcotics, and no Shoppers I was not pushing them on the street! Competance does not run rampant in this place and about the only thing you can count on here is consistency in their screw ups. Time to walk away. So long!

This review is based completely off the service at the pharmacy. If I could give zero stars I would. My family has been using this pharmacy for 30+ years and it used to be wonderful. It is horrible now. My entire family has switched pharmacies. The customer service is awful. Rude, slow and inconsiderate. If you’re looking to get medication, expect to wait at least one day even if you’re in dire need. If you need to call, don’t expect them to EVER answer your call. If you go to pick up your medication at the specified time, don’t expect it to be ready. Not only is the service horrible but most of the staff are completely rude and are not sympathetic at all about the terrible customer service. If they don’t make some changes I can see them losing many customers. Would NOT recommend this pharmacy.

I appreciate the staff, but for years, I have had issues with them not faxing my Dr correctly and then refusing to try again. Therefore, refusing a daily medication, one I can not go cold turkey on due to side effects.Lately, the refill problem is improving, but I still worry when I go to refill. I hope that it continues to improve.

Not sure what the service is like at the pharmacy but the service for regular customers is non-existent ever since they put in the self checkouts they don't allow their cashiers to stand at a register so The poor cashiers have to run around the store fiddling with things trying their best to keep an eye on the counter but they can't because that's impossible so as a customer I end up standing there waiting and waiting and waiting so I walked up and down all the aisles in the store and could not find one single employee.... not one!! it isn't just this shoppers although this was the worst one I've had to deal with yet All the shoppers drug marts have abandoned any semblance of customer service they have jacked their prices practically off the chart. Such a shame it used to be a really good store

I was having issues with my prescriptions being refilled in a timely manner, but since they switched to prefilling before I run out I haven't had any problems. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the store is usually clean with stocked shelves.

I called a script in 7 days ago and they had to fax my Doctor to renew the script. I went into the pharmacy 4 days later and it wasn't ready. Went back the next day still wasn't ready. My wife went in on day 7 and it turns out they were faxing the wrong Doctor. Ive had the same doctor for almost 20 years so nothing on my end changed. What did change was the people working there. Since the owner of the pharmacy changed, we have had nothing but problems. Always have to wait in line for up to 30 minutes only to find out they have messed up some how. Very disorganized, service is terrible and there is always new people who have no idea what they are doing. I don't like having to say this but I literally hate having to go here. If I were you, I would not choose this pharmacy, even if it's the only one near by!!

This pharmacy should be closed down by ministry of health. They will one day injure someone badly with lack of proficiency when dealing with prescriptions. I have dropped off prescription, weren’t filled in timely manner or at all, after hospital visit meds were not delivered as request.after a hospital visit last year I was told to go to another pharmacy they didn’t have the drug. So now I’m responsible for this. Today I drop prescriptions for my 88 year old mother after hospital visit spoke to pharmacist directly because of poor performance in the past. He told me come back 40-45 min. Came back in hour now told 8-9. WHAT? Do they think people have nothing better to do and run back and forth because they are incapable. I would never step foot in here but my mom has been coming here for 40 plus years. It is my understanding this has been a problem since new ownership. Do your self a favour go someone else.

I have used this pharmacy for over 30 yrs. I have now left and won’t be back. Since Joy left the pharmacy has gone to disorganized trash. All original staff have left, new staff have no idea what they are doing nor can they understand English . The phone never gets answered and you can sit on hold for an hour. Prescriptions are never right, never ready on time. The staff and pharmacist is rude and condensing . Always blaming the doctors yet I had no problem previously and still have the same doctor. Tired of the constant mistakes in filling prescriptions, tired of making 3-4 runs to pick up meds, tired of waiting in horrendous line ups, tired of being spoke down to.I am done and won’t be back

Called to speak to the pharmacy. Hold, hold, hold. 18 minutes. EIGHTEEN MINUTES. Ridiculous, either get more staff or stop taking so many patients that you can't handle.

It has become by far the worst pharmacy in the entire city. I’ve been using this pharmacy for years and I have no idea why. Every single time is a 20 minute wait, and about half the time there’s a mistake.Edit: after writing this I then found out they mistakenly put a script on hold that I needed and were suppose to be ready for me. I then had to wait a second time for them to refill the script. Consistent mistakes.
