Our roof was finished last year, so we made appointments with a bunch of well-known local roofers that were recommended in the facebook groups to get free estimates and most didn't get back to us and of the ones that said they'd come by, nobody showed up. I figured it was too late in the season and they were all too busy already, so we toughed out another winter and we were going to try again early this year.So in early April, as soon as the roof started thawing, I started calling around and booking estimates. Of all the ones I booked, Simca was the only one who showed up on time, on the day he said he would. The rest of the roofers we booked just ghosted us, no phone calls, no explanations, not a peep. We have a smallish house with a pretty basic roof, so I'm guessing after googling the address, maybe they decided our house wasn't worth it? I don't know.Luckily for us, Simca's estimate was beyond reasonable and he seemed like a really nice guy too (he even laughed at our terrible jokes), so it was kind of a no-brainer to go with him, even though we hadn't managed to get a second estimate.The first non-rainy day after we booked them, our roof was done really nicely, the whole area is cleaned up, and we still think these dudes are great people (there was a second dude for the installation and he laughed at our terrible jokes too).At the end of it all, I asked him, If it leaks
