Café Andes
The food at the restaurant was good; however, I was disappointed with the service. Our server was extremely rude, which affected our overall experience. I went to the restaurant with my elderly parents. When I requested a copy of the menu he anent me to ann app in a rude way. It would have been nice to have an hard copy menu for my parents. Additionally, when I asked for water, the server instructed me to help myself, which left me wondering about their role there. Despite the decent quality of the food, the prices were a bit high. Considering the combination of poor service and high prices, I won't be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others.

The arepas are amazing. This is the only Venezuelan/Colombian restaurant in this area.

If you are ready for something different try Cafe Andes. It's a small place, a few tables, not fancy. A very interesting and unique menu of South American food. Order at the counter off of the menu board, they deliver to your table. Rich homestyle food made on site, good size servings, lots of flavour. Arepes or full plates available. They even had Inca Cola, which I have not seen since I was in Peru. The place is a bit tricky to find but worth a try.

Do not pass over this place! It's a little tucked away and hard to find if you haven't been before in the corner of its plaza, but it is absolutely spectacular!Hearty, rich South American cuisine which we don't get enough of here in Canada. Not like Mexican food, try a new culture!Portions are huge and very filling, excellent value. Lots of meat on meals which include it.Coffee is heavenly. Well crafted and very balanced. No sugar required in my latte! The decor is a little simple but it's always perfectly clean. I like a place that concentrates on its food. Delicious homemade South American desserts. Come for the coffee and stay for the food! Also the staff is very friendly and love to share suggestions on what to order. Very passionate about their food.

If you want to go to a restaurant just for the food and not for the experience this is your place. I want to make clear that the food taste is really good (they keep the Latin flavours super authentic) The prices and the customer service not so much.I’ve been there for a couple of times and the way I have been treated or talked made me order their food through Uber Eats that way I didn’t have to face them and/or I was sure how much I was going to pay.We all understand that inflation is a big struggle but the prices constantly change without notice. What I have pay for one thing lets say $1 dollar and the next week is $3 and the following week is $2.50 and so on. That on top of the “adds on” you have to pay for simple things just like a sauce. But yeah, I mean at least the food is good (?)

Finally got to Cafe Andes and oh mylanta, so good! We tried 3 flavours of the empanadas: flank steak, chicken, and Colombian (potato and beef). They were all delicious but the flank was the winner for us. Crisp just slightly sweet corn crust stuffed just right. And that magic green sauce...not entirely sure what it's called, but just the perfect balance of bright and fresh without being too spicy. Next up was the Colombian Style Stuffed Potatoes (Papas Rellenas Colombianas). Almost what I'd imagine a portable ball of Columbian shepherd's pie. The pototo was rich and creamy with lovely seasoned ground beef, rice and egg in the center. And last but not leastPabellon Arepa -Corn flour Arepa Stuffed with Shredded Flank Steak, Black Beans, Fried Plantain, and Mozarella Cheese. That sweet plantain in there. Mmmmmmm. It was definitely 2 meals in one. Can't wait to go back and try more new things!

Fantastic experience here. I went with some co-workers, 2 of which are latin and they even said the food is authentic. I had the pabellon criollo, the beans were great and the plantain was tasty. I also had to try a carne mechada arepa, and the beef was even juicier on this. I think arepas are the way to go here. The atmosphere was also very clean, above average, not to mention the great service. I will have to return to try another arepa.

Incredible service and the food speaks for itself. Definitely will be coming here again and 100% recommend. I would suggest trying their beef and chicken empanadas! Not sure why people are complaining over 35 cents of extra sauce. Lots of other establishments charge extra for sauce. Let’s be real here, the owners set out reasonably prices.
