Safeway Liquor Railway Avenue

I am extremely impressed with this location. I had an unfortunate experience with a bottle yet the Manager completely understood the circumstance. He was very professional and empathized completely. Vivek Mehta has now made Safeway Liqour the go to place to purchase libations in Canmore. Well done Sir !!

Good place to have for all basic needs when visiting. Wide variety of beer and wine. Good prices.

Super nice gentleman helped me with a growler fill.Was slow because they were having issues with the pressure.But he let me have some samples so that made up for it :)Plus they have empty growlers at a very reasonable price. And the fills themselves are a good price too from the two local breweries that do kegs. There were 4.on tap to choose from. The gentleman, I believe was the assistant manager, even offered recommendations for mixing the raspberry ale and the evolution IPA from grizzly paw brewery.

In search of spirits at Safeway liquor store was in earshot of supervisor reprimanding staff person about his duties the night before. Should have been taken to the back room rather than middle of the store.

Good selection but had a horribly rude cashier. Disrespectful of where I visited from. Gave them service twice and had the same cashier and left the store both times upset.

We stopped by at Canmore’s Safeway liquor store because we heard that there was a price difference for one of our favourite drinks compared to what we would have paid in Toronto (almost $20 less here!). As we were shopping, Vivek and Dana the cashier were so helpful with answering our questions and let us know about the promotions that were happening. Because of their advice, we ended up saving an EXTRA $60 promotional discount for our $700 purchase and we left the store amazed at how customer oriented both Vivek and Dana were. Thank you so much for your help and we would recommend this location to our friends and families if they had a chance to visit Canmore from Ontario.

Male clerk (the one with the beard) is super friendly, chatty and most helpful.Otherwise...no good deals, selection is ok.

Fantastic manager. They got rid of that ignorant women cashier. Only downfall is that head office is abusive. Terrible company to work for
