World leaders in cardiac health and care. Lives are saved here how else could you not rate it other than a five. I was not a patient but visiting and the building is new and clean. There is a beautiful healing garden. It doesn’t seem like a hospital as it is open and airy feeling in many places. A well designed building

I was a patient in the Marikowsko Centre for 3 weeks. WORST care anywhere. Was told to just go to the bathroom in my bed & they would come 2-3 hours later to assist & then clean you up. I was not bathed, no personal care to speak of. I lost most of my hair. I lost my eye glasses there & no one cared. And I was a nurse for 35 years. They are a DISGRACE TO THE PROFESSION. Maybe some units were. good but not this one. So if your loved one ends up in their geriatric unit be to be there to care for them.

I'm a physician and been visiting ICU almost daily to see a friend. I was impressed by quality of nurses working there. Unlike nurses in regular units who are coach potatoes, these ladies know their job and they are mostly very friendly. The unit rotates the doctor, nurse and therapist on a daily basis and in my view it's. Better for. One team to. Care for. The difficult cases so the continuity of care maintained. Many thanks. For. Very caring and professional. They take that extra step to make sure patients are as comfortable as can be and help.them theough each stage of the process.

The best facility and Dr. MacArthur is the best! He took enough time to explain the procedure. He has a lot of experience and really cares for his patients. I would rate 5+ stars.

Excellent surgeon and quality of care, except that one nurse who force fed my mother apple juice while she was still so loopy from anesthetic, her eyes were rolling around and couldn't sit up without falling over. She aspirated and wound up on a ventilator for a month. Fortunately everyone else is top notch and worked diligently and kindly to get her back on her feet.I feel a bit bad for criticizing such a wonderful and life saving facility but... imagine you and your loved one has traveled a long way to be there, been through an extremely stressful surgical event. Every evening, after every long and prayerful day filled with innumerous beeping and alarms, most of the staff, at the end of shift, leave via the stairwell exit with the heavy steel doors and latches. One after the other after the next slamming that echoing heavy steel door...Boom..Bang..Bang..Boom..Bang..Every day, twice a day! In the middle of an ICU!Think about it.

A very good hospital. It's a clean. Also they have friendly nurses and doctors.

One of the best places for heart patients I was there back in February when I had a severe case of COVID because of my heart condition made it worse. I’m so thankful for the support and care that they gave me . I like to thank dr Sarah wool ridges and the nurses josh and his student nurse Arron and gayan

What a great place! So caring. My procedure went well….a SHOUT OUT to Dr. Quadros and the team that got me through this!Also many many thanks to the nurses and nursing students for the upkeep of my heart (Especially RN Emily and team)!Mazankowski Heart Institute is #1 in my books!(But I really hope I don’t have to return haha)
