I decided to give Ali Baba’s another try (the first time was a letdown) and gave the fish platter a go.I’m glad I went with this dish because it was quite good! It was seasoned white fish filet marinated in lemon, garlic, cilantro and various spices. It’s served with a basic salad, hummus, tahini sauce and ‘hot’ sauce (the sauce is actually quite mild). I added a side of garlic potatoes.The whole thing was a nice medley of flavours. A nice tangy side from the tahini sauce and the turnips, a more neutral side from the hummus and the spices and hot sauce balanced it all together.The fish was tender and had flavour and the rice was quite good in the sense that it was night and day different compared to bland steamed white rice. Overall, I highly recommend this menu item.

The service is fast here but could be improved upon. I called ahead to place and order for pick up at a specific time for an important lunch meeting.When I arrived the order hadn’t even been started yet (one of the employees had not shown up for his shift and they were operating one person down).I understand that stuff like this happens and I am grateful that they still made the order (I was late for the lunch), but if they just called me to say they were busy I would have been able to get lunch somewhere else.

The owner is always so nice, when i come get food, plus their chicken shawarma is 100%. Get the spicy and garlic bbq sauce.

I work near by .. so decided to try out this new spot... restaurant is old not recently renovated ..But food is excellent, Try the fish platter . It was full and very delicious... gonna try they other options the next time .Very highly recommended

Food is fresh and delicious.Salads are fresh and the garlic potatoes are delicious.I would highly recommend, on my last visit they forgot to put the lemon juice in the tabouli.

Food is good and super tasty. No doubt at all..But…Every time I go there with a big order such as 3-4 shawarma platter plus 1-2 wraps as well as soup and salads. The owner always tell me at the please call and order ahead of time. But every time you call they don’t follow instructions and just make it whatever. Cause you are not there in person. So what to do.I guess go else where… So now I have decided to go to the one on Kipling by 409. If others having the same problem and have been told the same. Then trust me it’s not worth your time, money, energy and good feeling about enjoy your lunch during you work day. When you are being told what to do either then keeping up with the customers.

Staff is super friendly and usually very fast at getting your food to you. If there is a line up, they will offer you a samosa while waiting too. I eat here often(3x week sometimes) as the food is awesome and the deals are outta this world any day of the week....
