Licks Ice Cream & Milkshake Bar

It was very expensive, not gonna deny that a milkshake at $14 is quite a stretch... BUT with that said, they were pretty fantastic and incredibly clever! I can't afford to visit too often but I think if you want to treat the family (or boy/girl friend) the shakes here are like work of art!

I so appreciate that there was a non-dairy option! And while a touch on the pricier side for ice cream I loved it and would definitely visit again!

BEST DAIRY FREE MILKSHAKES AND ICE CREAM IN ELGIN COUNTY. I had the #1 with Salted Caramel Coffee dairy free ice cream and it was the best milkshake I have ever had. The chocolate sauce, salted peanuts, whip cream and cherry was to die for. To top it off the staff were so friendly and delivered my ice cream to my car in the rain!

Not cheap but delicious. It was a little much for one person but they do offer extra straws and spoons if you want to share.

They closed and didn't tell anyone, so the kids were waiting in line and left with nothing. Not cool at all. Not the type customer service you are expecting on a vacationEdit to add: we were there at 9.15, there was a line before us, and we asked people in line if the shop is still opened. Everyone in the line was quite sure that the we couldn't enter inside, but you were still opened through the window. We were not the only ones who got turned around. When we just arrived, an employee came outside and just said something about the washroom, and that's it. We were in a line for 10-15 minutes and then an employee came out and said you were closed. There were at least 4-5 employees and one of them for sure could be put in charge of letting people know you were closed. As customers who were just walking and saw your little shop, we could not be aware you were closed. The point is - this is your responsibility to let people know you are closed and not let new customers stand in the line just to turn them around. It definitely shows this place doesn't care about the customers.

A wonderful find where the icecream store that I normally go to was closed.Although some of their items are quite expensive, the regular icecream cones were not.There is all kinds of options to choose out of.Staff were not extremely knowledgeable on gluten free, yet made their best effort to assist and allowed me to look at the ingredients.Nothing was verified gluten free because the faculty it was made in.Very delicious icecream.#gf#glutenfree#localguides

Amazing Ice Cream & Over the Top Milkshakes.If you are looking for a truly unique treat - a visit to Lick's is a must.We saw their creative works of sweet art on various posts on instagram - and we knew we needed to check them out.Their milkshakes are ridiculous - but in the best possible way.As if a milkshake wasn't enough of a dessert - they are topped with additional desserts - cupcakes, cheesecake, doughnuts, butter tarts and much more.I ordered the Caramel one because - in addition to twin bars and wafers - it is also topped with a Butter Tart - #Buttertartquest.This is the kind of place that you need to visit for the experience of it all. and dont forget to post on your own instagram.

The lines on the Victoria Day weekend were minimal! Drove by Shaws on Sunset and lines were 5 wide and through the parking lot ALL DAY.There are so many flavors here and very friendly service. They were so kind to my little boys, it made the experience great. Oddly enough, there weren't any other children, only adults lol but I guess it doesn't change the ice cream or service. If anything, it made me love this place that much more. Worth the visit.
