First time visiting Laywine's. It's a rite of passage for people who love their fountain pens. I did not purchase anything that would have broken the bank today and I was still afforded exceptional service. I stopped by today to purchase Kaweco cartridges in person. Lots of colours and Peter looked after me with great kindness and professionalism. Will return when I have used up all the ink that I bought today

Visited the store for the 1st time today. I was greeted by a friendly Rochelle, who helped find a Lamy refill for me. Her customer service was excellent, even during this short visit. I asked about other pens being new to it and both her and Peter were very kind, patient and knowledgeable I picked up a new rollerball pen. Went in to get some inks. The service was not very welcoming. Lack of attention from the staff for a good bit, but when received, it was not similar to the treatment other patrons in the store were receiving. Seems to have a good selection of products, but based on my previous experience, I do not feel inclined to return.

Wonderful service, online or in-person. Excellent products. Knowledgable, prompt and you feel appreciated, even with a more modest purchase. Thank you.

It’s been many years since I actually walked into a pen shop to buy pens. I love such classy and locally owned little shops. I had read about this shop on google while nonchalantly browsing pen shops around, and I decided to try this one. Mr. Laywine is a man with fine knowledge about pens. His warm hospitality and engaging conversations made me feel right at home. The interior is captivating indeed and so is the ambiance but as a hospitality professional I love when I run into such genuine individuals who make the experience of shopping merrier. Splendid spot! If you are a pen collector like me, don’t buy via internet, spare some time and stop by this shop and take Mr. Laywines advice, and he may also share some interesting stories while assisting you with the perfect writing mate.

The first stationery store I ever made a purchase from. I was so impressed by the quality products, fast shipping, and attention to detail in packaging and representation including the personalized note. Not to mention how friendly and welcoming the staff is when you call the store. I am definitely going to be a customer for life, (I’ve already made 3 purchases hehe) and I love their social media posts, especially the recent one about the fountain pen, it really touched my heart. There's no place quite like it- this oasis of calm civility, with everything you could ever ask for in the way of ink and pens. Extremely knowledgeable staff can guide your purchase of (for instance) your first really grown-up pen, plus exactly the right ink to go with it. In addition, Laywine's stocks a well-curated treasure trove of office accessories, notebooks, planners, fine stationery, and a small but wonderful selection of witty greeting cards for all occasions. I love this place.

I purchased both blackwing sharpeners they had. I also purchased the blackwing pencils. Only Canadian place to have them, other than a big online store, that is American. I shopped Canadian and glad I did. I received a lovely handwritten note with my purchase. I will look to Laywine's for future purchases. Thanks everyone.
