I strongly recommend this place. I speak only English and I feel at home here. Tartare is delightful-amazing. The staff even better. I have to give a huge thanks to the bartender and hostess to Mathieu. Ask for him- Enjoy!!!

To start with, the staff is very friendly and service is excellent. I went there on a Sunday with my girlfriend and we both LOVED the food and drinks.She had the Peachy Rhum and it was very flavorful without being too much.I had the Big Apple and it was just the way I love my drinks. Refreshing and not too sweet.We had the fried calamari as a starter and it was honestly the best I had in a restaurant so far.We both had tartare poke bowls and the portion is great as for the freshness of everything.Overall. We both loved the place and were definitely coming back!

Food was good but the service was very poor. Left waiting for several minutes at the door untill I yelled “hello!?” several times while staff ignored us.Then waited close to 45 minutes for our food. Server was not very pleasant, didn’t check in at all, and he even dropped a glass directly beside us and didn’t apologize or check to see if we were injured (another server later did). Note: there’s no kids menu.Might be fun for drinks on a Saturday night but not suitable for a midday meal.

The vegetarian burger is very good. The only downside we experienced was that the starter arrived after the main course. Bu the way, if you like hot sauce, you have to taste the Cholula!

I loved the choices of meals and the different style of cuisine, in addition to their extensive cocktail menu. It was very loud, but when they're this good, expect a place to be full of people having a great time!

So, like so many others I received the generic response from shaker to email them with my concerns so we could discuss the issue we had…. This was my email to them as requested sent on September 12 and I have not had a response since:Good day,I'm a little disappointed about the generic response to mine and other reviews critical of your establishment. It does not show any possible future customers that you are addressing any of the issues raised in those comments which is only going to hurt the reputation of Shaker in the long run as a lot of potential customers considering arranging a party at Shaker will read the comments and reviews before booking. The shaker brand is an attractive one but it's not going to carry you to success if you don't address these issues.This was my review:We arrived at 7Pm for a birthday supper on a Thursday evening. We elected to sit outside and was seated by the hostess. We waited 10 minutes for the server to arrive and eventually made our drink order. My beer arrived in about 5 minutes while the rest of our party had to wait 20 minutes more for the drinks to arrive. In the meantime I was waiting to make a toast before starting on my drink so by the time the rest of our drinks arrived mine was warm. By this time it had become a little chilly so we moved inside to another server’s section and had to wait for about 15 minutes before our server came to take our our supper order. I ordered calamari as an appetizer and an order of wings as a main. All of our appetizers and main courses arrived after more than 30 minutes at the same time. Both my calamari and wings were cold, so they would have been sitting waiting to be picked up for some time. Also, it seems like the chef found the bottom of the calamari bag while making my order. The wings were under cooked despite coming frozen and precooked from the factory. The taste was good but otherwise disappointing. The birthday girl ordered an onion soup that had no broth and soggy bread. The Avocado and shrimp appetizer was really good while the rest of the food was mediocre at best. Simply not acceptable given the price point. A complementary birthday dessert was served which was nice but it was served before she started on her onion soup however, it was tasty even though it was warm by the time her soup was done. The server accommodated my limited French while ordering which was nice but other than that there was nothing there. Litchi martini’s are easy to drink under normal circumstances but this was certainly watered down. There was no indication given of any service delays on arrival or when ordering which would of dispelled any issues we had with the extremely slow service. We tipped 15% to be decent but it was not merited by any means. There is a lot of potential in this place but there are fundamental problems that need to be addressed. I’m almost 100% confident that the severs tips are pooled and honestly this is seriously hurting their potential for providing good service. Also there doesn’t seem to be any oversight to ensure quality of service and the quality of orders going to the tables. I was extremely disappointed and would not return or recommend this restaurant to anyone at this point. It seems this establishment is geared towards a party atmosphere all the time which on a Wednesday evening is not going to Win you any new customers if you’re service and food is at this level. I wish I took some pictures earlier but I was not considering writing the review until after we started our supper.I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I look forward to your response.My family like shaker so I would like to return if we can enjoy a good experience next time.Regards,David

Food was a little over priced in my opinion ie very small serving size of the tartar also I feel like there was too much dressing on my salad, staff was nice food tasted pretty good, place was cool. I did not have one of their mixed drinks but they looked cool, also the brie was really tasty

Quality tasty food, awesome cocktails, well presented.Their cocktails are absolutely fabulous with a vast choice of flavours, all described and pictured on their menu.Modern and warm decor. The ambiance is energetic and fun but the spacious bar can get very crowded at times.The staff is polite, friendly and professional. A must.
