Please read before you sign any new home builder's contract.I am sharing so that others who are thinking of purchasing a new home are aware of the how biased Home Builder’s contracts are. There is absolutely no protection for you after you sign their contract. I was assured by both a real estate professional and Pacesetter sales agent that the contract was standard but had no idea how biased it truly was. It truly wish I had reviewed the contract with a lawyer.I am to take possession this week. If I walk away, I lose a significant deposit and am open to being sued for Pacesetter's losses, plus interest. My only choice is to move in and know that the property I have purchased is worth almost 10% less than what I paid for it instantly as the exact unit beside me is currently listed for that amount. I hope that no one else ever suffers by making the same mistake I did. Please ensure you have a lawyer work with you to create a fair contract.Edited Feb 2020 - Pacesetter did nothing to work with me and even hung up when I called the manager above the person I was working with. I'd only said my name and have never been belligerent. The upgrades they mention below had nothing to do with my situation with the bank.Also, I've learned that the louder you complain, the more that will get fixed. I have a downspout that drains directly onto my driveway due to poor design/installation. I stated during my one year warranty period that it is a poor design as we have to step over it and the water is constantly pouring down my driveway creating a skating rink. I was told it was to be expected in our climate. My neighbor pushed harder than me and her downspout was relocated for her. When I went back to ask why hers was fixed and mine not, they are still saying it is normal. I am now out of my one year warranty period. Push them hard to get things fixed that should be fixed.

Not happy with the service. We got our house on 28 nov with few major things pending like not having island panel, not having door for drawer. Which is totally fine. We are human beings and mistakes are part of it. But the problem occurs when it remains unresolved.Now the fun begins,We got main entrance door not working properly, they are sending people to fix the door but nothing that really helps. And now As on today January 4, we still have door that doesn't close. No will like the home which has pathetic main entrance door after spending tons of money on it. They spoiled our both the doors and I am looking forward them to replaced and not the repair.Service needs to improve.

We recently took possession of our new Pacesetter home and were very happy with the service and experience watching the house come together. Diane Sasseville did an excellent job walking us through the process of selecting our lot, model, upgrades and the general buying process. Diane went above and beyond to make the process seamless for us and provided us with all our requested pictures and videos as well as making sure everything with the house was okay, since we did the whole buying process from out of province during the pandemic, and could not be in Edmonton. Any problems or concerns we had about the house were addressed and resolved in a timely fashion. The house was completed on time, and is beautiful! We would highly recommend choosing Pacesetter and working with Diane to those in the market for a new home in Edmonton.

We took possession of our new Pacesetter home one month ago. The house location, quality and value are excellent. And more importantly, the service is perfect. We would like to highly recommend Diane for her profession and responsiveness. We had a pleasant buying process because of her.

Our experience with Pacesetter has honestly been great. Sandra is an exceptional individual who represents the company really well. From the time we entered the house with her, through the journey of the purchase and till date she has gone above and beyond in helping us. She has always been available for us at any time of the week and has promptly answered all our questions. Since we were not in the province through the whole process Sandra made it so easy for us and coordinated everything on our behalf. We are very appreciative of Sandra, Diane and Pacesetter for helping us fulfill our dream of buying our first home.

I couldn't be happier with the home Pacesetter has just finished for our family. Everything in the process was a very positive experience for us, from our sales team to our site super, the professionalism and customer service was always the highest. On top of the excellent client experience, I have to mention that the quality of the end product is beyond our expectations, you can find the best workmanship in the smallest of the details. Great job Team, you just made a dream come true!!!!

We built and took possession with Pacesetter on April 20th, 2023 for a Quincy" model in Griesbach. I just want to say that Sandra Mattar (Area Sales Manager) was amazing and I would give her even more stars if I could.She took over our home build from another area sales manager that is no longer with the company. The previous ASM was not really responsive after making the sale to us. It was really a blessing a disguise when Sandra took over after he left.She was really attentive and quick to respond even though she didn't make the sale to us. She would go above and beyond to ensure our needs are met.In a world of rising interest rates

My wife and I are really really impressed with the quality and workmanship of the house we built with Pacesetter. The process from start to finish was smooth. The house itself is exactly what we expected. The layout and design is great. It's warm, quiet, and modern. Heating and insulation is great with no drafts or cold spots unlike our previous 2 builds. There were minor warranty claims after we moved in that were handled very quickly and completely. This is the opposite from our previous builds where we had to fight to get anything fixed.The site supervisor was awesome to deal with. The showhome representative was very good and answered questions completely and honestly in a timely manner.The build time was delayed due to Covid issues but I believe the delay was justified and reasonable.Overall an excellent experience. We're so happy that we have referred 2 other families to Pacesetter that are currently building.

BUYER BEWARE:Photos attached as proof:This is not a builder I would recommend. I have over 15 years in the trades & there are things in our home that I cannot believe.1. We dealt with Tracy for our home in NW Edmonton area. She was absolutely fantastic.
