Midland Food Tours

The Downtown Midland Food Tour was a great experience and a terrific way to discover unique restaurants and businesses in the area! Even though I have lived in the Midland area all my life, the tour brought me to several spots I hadn’t been to before, which are sure to become favourites. Our tour leader, Kelly, was very knowledgeable and had a lot of great insight and stories about the area, and several of the business owners or their staff took the time to chat with us about what they do and their history. There was a great amount of food so I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to eat or wants to explore the area!

What an excellent way to spend the afternoon. My wife and I participated in the tour and had a great time. Kelly was an excellent charismatic guide. All 9 stops on the tour were excellent giving us a chance to taste some of what this charming town has to offer and learn some of its history. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys good food.

We did the walking tour today and had a great experience! Kelly was so friendly and knowledgeable about the tour stops and the history of Midland. I learned a lot and loved the food and drinks (Noble Hops was our favourite but they were all great). I brought my infant son and, although I wish I brought my smaller stroller for navigating the store, everyone was so welcoming and accommodating of us! Highly recommended this tour!

Kelly was fantastic! I would recommend this Food Tour for anyone either Tourist or Local. Kelly was very knowledgeable and professional. The tour was extensive and thorough but not rushed.

Thoroughly enjoyed the driving tour! As a newcomer to Midland it was a wonderful way to explore the area. All of the vendors were very friendly, the food was incredible (bring your appetite) and the route was very scenic. Kelly was so friendly and the entire experience was well organized and a super fun experience! Would highly recommend!

I booked this trip for my girlfriend's bachelorette trip and we had the most wonderful time! Kelly arranged a private tour for our large group. We gained a huge appreciation for the history of Midland. It was really nice to meet and learn from the owners of these small businesses. There were several food tastings that we had never tried before and we absolutely loved - our favourites were the grilled cheese paired with a tequila sunrise jam and the matcha latte with almond milk. Everyone was incredibly friendly and hospitable!

Kelly was a fantastic tour guide! She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. The restaurants and shops featured on the tour were amazing - some I didn’t know were in Midland and I live nearby and work here! So many places that I will now pop back into with friends or family, too. Thanks Kelly - it was the perfect day to spend with my mom celebrating Mother’s Day!

This is the perfect way to spend quality time with a fully vaccinated friend! It's so much fun to be a tourist in your own backyard or travelling from afar. Tasting delicious foods and stocking your fridge/freezer/pantry with healthy local offerings will inspire you to create your own 'tastings' to share with family and friends. Kelly is an excellent guide and all of her partners make you feel welcome and valued. I'd highly recommend this food tour to all!!

Loved our great food adventure with Midland Food Tours!! We had a great time learning about Midland’s downtown history and had some yummy stops along the way, I now have some new places to add to our food stops list. A Big Thank you to Kelly Kurtz of Midland Food Tours for a amazing time! For keeping it fun and interesting and most of all for making it so inclusive for my 11 year old daughter and I, like having her green matcha tea switched out for a latte art hot chocolate, and arranging a non alcoholic options for her and I when alcohol tasting was on the menu we felt very taken care of. Your love of food and the local businesses really shines through! I highly recommend the tour even to locals you will learn a thing or two and have a lot of fun!

Joanne and I thoroughly enjoyed our self guided driving tour. Kelly was an amazing guide and gave us all the information we needed to have a good road trip. We enjoyed every stop along the way, and got to see some of the establishments we talked about visiting, but never did. Everyone we met on our tour was more than pleasant, and helpful. We highly recommend the experience.
